Hesh review

They’ll talk about a 4 second autoloader, and not about how useless that round is

they can talk about the autoloader which isnt historically correct (but allow me to introduce the unholy amount of bug’s with the tank’s that they address as “not a bug” to skip out on work)

As I said, minor nations only ever get nerfs and bugs. If there is even a rumour of the big three having a bug, it’s fixed that day

Thats cool and all but you cant give a tank what would be a 127mm pen HE round with 5 sec reload and expect it to stay at its br

Something wonderful.

No yeah HESH is a complete joke. May aswell load canister and do more damage.

Ive been using 105mm hesh for the first time in years now. Hit registry is at least semi consistent but i dont get why 105mm is acting like 76mm hesh in game.

HESH (IRL) is easily countered by spaced armor… In game it is represented by doing absolutely nothing if the game decided you hit spaced armor… Damage models and hitboxes are so messed up that. A LOT of areas are considered spaced even when they aren’t…

Hesh works when hesh wants to work

Spaghetti code strikes again

my complaint about the 105 acting like a 76 isnt a spaghetti code issue. Its figures are an extreme underestimation of the capability of HESH shells.

the 76mm HESH fired from a FV101 scorpion has roughly 1KG of explosive filler and can cause armour scabbing through 110mm of RHA steel flat on. 105mm hesh is only a few mm stronger than that in game despite having almost triple the explosive yield over a 40% larger area. as a closer comparison120mm HESH was able to blow a scab out of 160mm of RHA at a 45 degree angle but isnt even close to that in game

Its a massive lowballing and it screws with me knowing what it should be capable of causing a scab through a hell of a lot more armour.

Probably only if the first plate is solid enough to cause it to pancake and detonate - if the first plate is too thin HESH will just smash through it mechanically and detonate on something else.

True… But it isn’t modeled in game sadly…
