Is there like a given way to play the J35XS well in 2026? I’m currently struggling with it and my stats aren’t looking too hot either. Might be that I don’t really know how to fly early Danger Doritos or could be the match maker and its definitely a combination of both my skill issue and the match maker.
My current approach is the side climb if I can confirm there’s no Mig-25s, I usually go to the left or right depending on the map and on which side I spawn, often times I avoid the first initiation of the furball and then try to pick off distracted targets, I rarely climb to above 5000m because pretty much nobody climbs above here other than the odd Mig-21 or F-106 who go into space and reveal everyone their position on contrail altitude.
I then try to launch missiles at those that are usually distracted/lining up a shot on someone. Sometimes this succeeds but other times its like they have a 6th sense because I see them flare the moment my missile is off the rail. I try to go for those that have no flares but they usually die early in the match. Might be because I fly too far off the side and then end up out of position.
Any advice would be welcome. I am not afraid to close to gun distance, just my aim with a single gun that is far offset to the right is pretty shoddy at best.
