Help! trying to make a custom camoflauge for the M1A2 SEP

Everyone knows userskins. but HOW do i do it correctly?

my planned approach is

  1. click the magic wand icon blah blah blah

  2. copy

  3. paste in whatever frankenstein folder you have

  4. go to a website that converts .tga to .png

  5. go to what editor you actually prefer

  6. edit

  7. done

7.5. turn back into .tga
8. rename

  1. put in UserSkins folder

  2. check

  3. pray it works

  4. does work maybe

  5. YAY

Did i do something wrong? because i think this might be the wrong method and most tutorials are outdated or are just blatantly wrong.

like ive stated thats a PLANNED approach. i havent done it yet
