Help Sparviero que

Guys, should I take Sparviero? How does he feel, does he burst quickly? Does he burst others quickly, does he manage to reach the actual points, and is he able to defend them? (effectively) Because I don’t consider Folaga as a combat unit, maybe as a combat bucket at most

It is good, but very different from folaga. It can do a lot of damage very quickly and is a very fast boat. It is decently weak to enemy fire but that shouldnt matter if you play it right.

It can easy 3 shot coastal boats and is even able to destroy early destroyers after 10 or so shots.

I recommend buying it, but it has a very specific fast playstyle.

Ideally you would want both, Folaga is a very nice bully “coastal spawn reserve DD” with that double 40mm Bofors(imo was better with the unhistorical double 37mm Breda before it got reported due to better fragmentation and little to no dispersion increase with overheat, but well now you get AP belt hehe), but doesnt like too much getting a full uptier where the firepower isnt enough to defend the coastal zone from a DD rushing into it.

Sparviero is more like playing a light tank like the M18, good gun and very fast, but cant shoot on the move:you tilt too much when hard turning in Sparviero, and above the speed your hydrofoil deploys, the ships becomes very unstable to aim so you need to sail at rather slow speed for good aim, you also not get too much ammo so, you need to play very close to the cap or inside the cap to replenish constantly, so its a good ambusher and very good at defending a cap from enemy boats after the point is already captured so you can replenish ammo, against DDs can be rough, they instakill you, but you can overpressure their turrers if they are open-top or spam shells into their ammo till they explode, so attacking someone that is being already engaged is crucial for success

thank you guys, it’s a very powerful ship, and I didn’t regret taking it. Shooting down enemy guns and destroying destroyers is the ultimate pleasure, and the boats fly away from the radio mines.
