I’m deciding between these two vehicles. In Italy I already have the VRCC, but I don’t find it sufficient for some fights on certain maps, so I’m thinking about getting the Ariete Certezza to help me in those situations.
But I also want to grind Israel with the Merkava, though I’m not sure if it’s worth it… Also, there aren’t any other premium vehicles in that nation available that would be more effective than the one offered in the premium pack.
I’d like an opinion on which one I should choose, especially since I can use the new event to do a massive grind in another nation until the end.
I already have some packs in Germany, and I’m almost done grinding them. I really want to start playing one of the two nations mentioned above (Italy or Israel), but I don’t know which premium pack is really worth it. Like I said, I’m not sure if the Merkava is actually worth it given its BR and combat capabilities.
Israel would basically be to unlock vehicles faster since I don’t have anything in that nation yet.
For Italy just enjoy 6.0 until you open everything at rank V. You can buy Tigris if you want, but don’t try to rush to the tops, it would bring nothing, but disappointment.

Imo, you should get the OF-40 (MTCA) to go along with the VRCC. The Ariete Certezza is not bad/good, BUT it has almost no armor. Effectively no armor lol. IF you get the Ariete OR the Centaro RGO, your VRCC will not be that useful in high BR matches. It is still great, and the VRCC does have thermals, but it really isn’t made for high BR matches. Even though its dart is good, it really does not have the same punch that the Centauro RGO or Ariete’s darts have.
But both the VRCC and OF-40 (MTCA)'s darts are excellent at their BR’s. Absolutely wonderful to play with.
I know you are probably looking for a store pack to get the extra GE’s and premium time, but imo, it really isn’t the best/most efficient way to grind out Italy by having the VRCC and getting the Ariete.
Furthermore, both the VRCC and the OF-40 (MTCA) can grind out almost the entire Italian tech tree at full efficiency. Only 3 vehicles in the top top tier that would not be researched at full efficiency with those two. But does not matter imo as they make a wonderful pair of premiums to grind with.
I do not know anything about the Merkava, so you would have to get other opinions on that. BUUUUUT if you “refuse” to get the OF-40 (MTCA), I would advise NOT getting the Ariete Certezza. Because you will effectively have a 1 tank lineup, verses getting the OF-40 (MTCA) to go along with your VRCC.
I ended up choosing the Ariete Certezza, and so far I’m not regretting it. I hope it stays that way, since its ammunition is very destructive after penetrating enemy vehicles.
By some miracle, I can still pull off some side flanks on maps using the VRCC even at the Ariete’s top tier. People seem to stop checking their sides after some time into the match (classic rusbias experience 😅), so I’m getting a pretty good return in RP and Lions with both vehicles.
Not to mention the Otomatic AA, fully stock and basically free, which can still take down some aircraft and drones
It is a very good tank! And I LOVE the Centauro RGO ❤️ If you like the VRCC, you will also LOVE the RGO. I would highly suggest getting it next time it goes on sale. Another perfect match with the Ariete 👌
Excellent! If you play RB mostly, it does have very good thermals still. Excellent for scouting and sniping 🔭
If you end up enjoying the 11.7 BR lineup, I would say totally ignore the OF-40 (MTCA). It does NOT have thermals, so not comparable to the VRCC at high/top tier.
Oh! And I assume you know, but juuuust in case, do you use your commander sights and turn on commander fire control? VRCC does not have commander thermals, BUT it can be useful for getting a bit higher viewpoint for sniping/scouting. The Ariete does have thermals for its commander sights, it can be very useful for peaking over hills.
Also just in case, you are able to use your range finder in commander sight.

as the other guy said, i would go for the of40, italy 9.3 and 9.7 are great fun to play far more so than 11.7, and the ariete is just a very mediocre tank imo if you were just isolated getting a new tank instead of one to pair with the vrcc the centauro rgo is pretty decent but top tier is just less interesting for me personally so the of40 would still be the best bet
? if you include premiums there are 3 arietes and 2 centauros, plus the otomatic at 11.3
Yeah, and even though many people don’t like it, I LOVE the KF41 @ 11.0 Has IRST for air targets too. I LOVE light tanks with IRST ❤️ And the active protection system does save you sometimes.
Also has Gen 3 thermals for both gunner and commander. With its commander optics being very high up on the turret.
I would fiinsh a nation to gahter for all BR expirance, since you dont say if you grinded germany abouve 11.3. If you gahter for all BR expirance, you can buy any tank and play, so i wouldnt buy the Airete as u will suffer.
Top tier Merkavas are pretty good, even the 11.3 version. You may have heard a lot of players who called the Merkavas chit, until I played them myself and I can confirm that it’s the players who are chit, not the Merkavas.
You have all the cool gadgets like IRST target tracking and LWS, on top of having a very good APFSDS round it also carries a bunch of smoke shells to help you gtfo of there.
