It’s the Type 625, you can see in the ss I only have one keybind to lock targets, how do I prevent the lock from switching to friendlies? like you lock the enemy unit then it suddenly switches to locking friendly units? and then when I saw incoming ammunition from the enemies, I would just lock them via third person view, then it would randomly lock something else, sometimes turret turning 180 to lock whats behind what I initially locked onto, the random target switch is irritating and confusing, so are there any other target search method would prevent one or more irritating things I mentioned above?
Nope I don’t use the menu, or do you mean the control screen? mostly only use standard gunner view, I would just point at targets I want to lock and hit the MB4 button, if I can’t see them then I would just try to lock them in third-person view
make sure that
is turned off in options ground battle settings and set these two
lock radar onto targets works in two ways, in gunner view it works like ACM in air battles and kinda locks whatever youre looking at but in third person it trys to lock whatever target you have ‘selected’, with cyclic switching its kinda random but ends up being whatever has been on your radar scope the longest
turning off cyclic switching gives you a cursor which you can move around with the cue controls to hover over a radar marker to lock instead, of course for some vehicles it also just allows you to try lock anything in front of you
if you dont want to disable cyclic switching you can also use
which will allow you to cycle between possible radar targets you want to lock on to
a selected radar target will show up with more lines around it

Btw, how effective is this vehicle at intercepting ammunitions? I’m almost got all the essential parts like thermals and AHEAD, while I’ve been actively destroying LMUR and KH-38, sometimes still fail to see them coming, like do you just sit with radar screen entire game to read all the activities? I actually tried to intercept the 9M317MA from BUK towards the teammates at helipad because you can actually lock the missile, but for hitting them with AHEAD I am not sure should I bother trying it lol
Yes but the CS/SA5’s FB-10 after firing has infrared tracking for the missile’s final guidance and will track heat signatures.

If an ally gets in the way of that last part it’s unfortunate and can happen but it’s rare and it’s because they are nose to tail on the enemy jet.
Once you filter allies you shouldn’t really have to worry about that.
It’s rare in ground battles for that to happen at top tier anywhere near AA systems.
Happens quite often to me maybe I just don’t know what the hell I was doing lol also one more thing, when I lock the target with IR seeker and it found a target thus the green circle turns red, but sometimes it highlight the target with two red circles, what does that mean? when that happens iirc I cannot shoot the missile
