Doesnt mitl require LOS to the missile at least?
Some kimd of range limit between munition and aircraft for mitl would be good too
yea i have 0 clue how he launch his LMUR without needing LOS
Yes you need LOS, after 3 seconds without LOS you loose the connection
Dev Server… prob not finished
how do u even launch? IR AGM seeker turns on when I press the launch button or lock button and it will not launch unless it has a lock
No i mean los between missile and aircraft, so you cant do it from behind a mountain
If you use lock button instead of launch button to lock you can lock on deadspace by pressing it twice
LMUR goes on a loft trajectory, so all the player needs to do is launch into the sky and lock a target through MITL. They don’t need LOS after that when the missile dips down beyond cover.
It seems like they can “lock” the sky? IDK if that’s a bug on the dev server.
I believe its been changed slightly

From 3 days ago and i dont have it to test it but maybe
Ah, interesting, I missed that datamine. Though if the missile is locked into empty space that’s at a high enough angle, maybe the missile would still fly upwards, high enough to clear the cover in front of the heli?
Yeah, just testing it now, it doesn’t loft, but it maintains a fairly consistent altitude then dives on the target at the end of the flight.
You can lock the air and fire it into a manual loft, but it very quickly dives down to fly parallel with the ground
interesting, does it still consistently hit the target from a high aoa?
yeah probably
well LMUR loft pretty high so u got a good 10-20 seconds to use MITL and lock someone, way more than enough time, and as you can see in the reddit video, its easily done
i hope its a bug, other missiles I tried on like AGM65 has never done this before
yeah, it seems it has an altitude it wants to fly at now, so rather than lofting it goes to that altitude, maybe 500m or so, it’s a bit hard to tell exactly, flies to the target then dives sharply on it, at shorter ranges it doesn’t get to that alt and comes in shallower but at 4+ km it still seems to come down at a very steep angle.
It seems that the “cruising alt” is why it wasn’t lofting, my test is set to 1000m for planes so the LMUR dove to it’s cruse alt, but once I got down to 50m it started lofting again, it seems the cut off is maybe around 500m.
isnt that the definition of lofting lmao
yeah, but my test flight spawn alt is set for 1km for planes so it wasn’t lofting when I 1st tested it, previously it flew up no matter what your launch altitude was.
I’m typing while I’m testing it, so if I contradict myself it’s because I just found something new.
ah ok, interesting
