The missile that was launched was not IR guided missile it was a German Fim-92E or K
OK now how could he launch it when he couldn’t even see me, I have that same German AA and I cannot launch a missile without a radar lock on so come on tell me how he did it can you no I don’t think so! Mostly all accept radar lock-on missiles are infrared (IR) missile, also known as a heat-seeking missile
All it needs is to see enough heat. Once you are close enough, the second any part of your heli shows through the trees, he can lock you.
I dont even know what you are doing. You can lock even with the radar off since it doesnt need it.
They shouldn’t but they do. Missiles go through trees and tracking radar picks up aircraft on or near the ground. Just the way it is. I don’t think it was the work of aim bots. I thought those were for shooting with guns, not locking IR missiles.
To me the tracking radar is either working or non-existent. At some point you will be revealed, maybe when position for an attack. I suspect they may of just heard your helicopter engines. If not, maybe one of their team heard and reported your position.
Do you have a replay? I would like to see what happened.
They do need to refine the tree hit boxes and how they interact with radar/IR.
With how close you need to be for an IR missile to lock, he was well within range to be heard.
Max lock range for helis with IR is about 2.5km. Average is around 2km

There is a close up I don’t think he could see me matter of fact I know he can’t see me through the trees 
He just has to move the seeker over your general direction. You are more than close enough for him to hear you.
It was not a seeker missile
One they couldn’t hear the the helicopter I was over 1000 meters away two I was just down from the top of the hill the only thing that anybody could possibly see was the main rotor and you can’t see that spinning because of all the timber that was in front of my helicopter it’s all in the game mechanics of this game they suck it’s supposed to be realistic mode but there’s no realistic in this whole freaking game but it’s supposed to be and that’s what I’m getting at OK arcade mode yeah I understand all the BS that but t not in realistic or SIM mode see what I’m saying it’s not right they need to fix it do you know when War Thunder first put tanks in this game they used to advertise it’s the most realistic Tank battle game graphics wise it’s good anything realistic it’s not take it from somebody that knows Tanks and armor I served in the US Army for nine years as an Armor specialist when I got out I was a Tank commander and I know Tanks and I know missiles what they can and cannot do and I know what radar can do and cannot do! End of the true story.
I guess they never taught you about the stinger.
