No, a package for 40 dollars, only idiots will buy it, I don’t understand why the snail decided to add this to the premiums, instead of starting to cover the need for attack aircraft starting from the middle ranks up to 9.3 (there is simply no further ground equipment up to 11.3, RSV and type16 at 9.7 are garbage which may not even be considered)

seems that they’ll add better version with 9L into the techtree, still the spanish navy never used 9G on theirs though

If that’s the case then the AV-8S (E) isn’t that bad of an idea of a premium at all since if the later AV-8S is added to the TT it would be a full BR higher since the closest equivalent to the AV-8S (Late) currently ingame is the Squadron Sea Harrier in the British TT (BR: 10.7 in contrast to the AV-8S Early’s BR: 9.7). And I highly doubt that Gaijin would add the TAV-8S to the game any time soon

Yeah, even if they do an “early” variant I hope they give it AIM-9P instead of AIM-9G, since those were used with both Spanish and Thai AV-8S.
I also hope they correct the RWR, since the correct one is already modeled on the aircraft but the RWR it gets is still the same as that of the AV-8A.

Someone mentioned a double pylon for AIM-9s on the Spanish Matador. Do we have any picture of the Thai ones using it as well? I tried to find one for a bit, but to no success.
So what could late variant be? Is there a chance to be B+? or will it only get better RWR and 9Ls?
There is no such thing as “Early” and “Late” AV-8S in RTAF service. The current model is technically an early AV-8S from Spanish service. Eitherway its not supposed to have AIM-9Gs which Thailand never bought. Up to four AIM-9P/N and AIM-9L should be given instead, as well as slight model changes and possibly RWR; subject for more research whether it should be the current or SkyGuardian 500.
Thailand also never operated Harrier IIs.

It’s very nice that this plane will be added to the game!
However, these two things spoil the mood:
- A strange selection of weapons, because there really should have been 9P/L instead of 9G. However, if they are given to it (especially in the amount of up to 4) + improved avionics, the BR will be at least 11.0 in ARB and 10.0 in GRB. Also it should be taken into account that there is no ground forces vehicle at such BR and the lack of guided weapons won’t allow it to be effectively used with Type 90.
- It’s good that some replacement for the ADTW may appear as a premium aircraft that can be used to grind out the TT (ADTW, after all, is almost the worst phantom in the game). It’s bad that the plane is going to be locked behind paywall and still we don’t have a single TT aircraft of Thailand (squadron F-5 doesn’t count)
the model change is there but its still using the old rwr which doesnt make sense.

I don’t think we will be getting the twin rail. While there are pictures of Spain using those, I haven’t seen a single picture of the Thai ones using them.

They gona slap it on since it existed and could be mounted and we know how they like to bend these things with was tested, is possible etc, like the PGMs on the GR4, never even tested on it, only on the GR1 but it was suposedly possible so they gave the GR4 these
