Hawker Sea Hurricane for American TT

Just wondering if will we ever get a Sea Hurricane for the American TT or just a premium since America has already have enough aircrafts for its tech tree. Sea Hurricanes in Operation Torch and was used by the USAAF afaik and had American markings and I mean since The American Spitfire is in the game already why not a Hurricane Also?

The Sea Hurricanes were Royal Navy planes repainted for Operation Torch so that the British roundels couldn’t be confused for Vichy French. And perception of an American-led invasion was more favourable in France’s North African colonies, than one by the British Empire. They were flown by Fleet Air Arm pilots from Royal Navy carriers, not operated by the US. You can see they still have “Royal Navy” painted ahead of the tail.

The USAAF did operate Hurricanes, but not Sea Hurricanes. The one in the first photo with drop tanks is a Hurricane, so could be a USAAF one. But it still has an RAF-style serial, so again could just be repainted for operational needs. Other American-operated Hurricanes I’ve seen, had the serial painted on the tail fin in the usual manner USAAF marked their aircraft.
The “fish tail” type engine exhaust stack, bumps on the wings for Hispano cannons, and a KZ serial identify it as it’s a Hurricane IIC.
Of the 60 Sea Hurricane IICs that were built, all had serials beginning NF. And this aircraft doesn’t appear to have an arrestor hook either.

From what I understand, the USAAF Hurricanes weren’t used for combat roles. But did retain armament for self-defence if they were intercepted when flying between friendly airfields.
One role they had in the USAAF was as couriers for documents and spare parts to forward air bases. No.1697 Flight RAF, used Hurricane IICs with converted drop tanks, to deliver mail in that capacity. So that fits with the kind of Hurricane shown in the photo, and it’s possible role with the USAAF.

I do apologize for mixing them up. Is it possible then for an American Hurricane to appear as a premium soon?

thats a british one mate sorry

bad news on that one too

the US (and USSR) never got LF mkIX spitfires. It should be a normal mkIX ot Vc to be more correct.

Would like to see accurate representation of british vehicles used by other nations more often in WT.

In the world that Gaijin gatekeeps Canadian Sabre and British/Aussie Mustang to us…

I don’t think you guys can get the USAAF Hurricane soon.

IF I loan those gatekeepers’ main theories for nothing but example.
(Just for clarification, I am fine to see USAAF hurricane if we can get British Mustangs and P-400 or even Inferior Buffalo.)
“No Hurricanes for USA because copy-paste is bad, and there are many domestic options which fits it’s role”
