Hawk 200 Technical Discussion The Fighting Hawk

Could be added to GR.1 as a GR.1B modification. Similar the Jaguar GR.1A has a GR.1B modification that adds TIALD and changes the cockpit.

Very cool looking missile, will it have much utility ingame?

Not really, ARH antiship missile, bascially ASM-1 on the F-2

Today, the flight model was changed. They removed the “SAS” damping system. Does anyone know how an aircraft with so much technology on board can not even have an “SAS” system? Is that really the case?

The Hawk T.1 flight manual is declassified and can be downloaded from the UK government website, you’re welcome to take a look and see if it has anything like SAS yourself: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/5feda994e90e0776a30620bf/Binder1.pdf

If the Hawk T.1 has it the Hawk 200 probably does too.

According to this technical manual, it does not mention the fly-by-wire system. I will look for something more specific.

If that is the case, then the Hawk 200 can use Magic 2 missiles and will be 11.7 without “SAS” for simulation… lol

I guess, the type of wing the Hawk has is like the Skyhawk and a simple shape generally, but why do they keep it bad when it would be one of the few things that allows it to be dangerous at any BR?

Still using the 30mm aden?

still

Is it just me or does the Hawk feel really unstable, the roll feels very sloppy as if it has a ton of inertia

it is almost impossible to roll while fully using your elevator (when stock), its better when spaded but still feels very unstable

Problem is the 200 is about a decade newer than the T.1 and the T.1 never got half the upgrades the 200 has

Is the Hawk 200 performance ingame based off the T.1s performance?

I don’t know
