Hawk 200 Technical Discussion The Fighting Hawk

Not really, weaker engines and lower top speed (96kN for the Shar vs 26kN for the Hawk 200 & 1145kph for the Shar vs. 1037 kph for the hawk.)

Here’s some Adour 871 specs from the brochure:

We’ll see soon enough

Awesome! And useful it’s got the takeoff thrust because those should be the installed numbers for the engine.

The graph says “no losses” so it’s probably uninstalled.

Looks like the T1A gunpod

Don’t give us ideas to suggest the Matra Magic

The Hawk 100 & 200 both had the option of a FLIR + LRMTS nose, not aware of either the 100 or 200 having the ARBS camera of the Harrier GR.7 though.

Yeah but that looks to be ZJ201 which hasnt got the inbuilt 25’s definitely the same pod the T1A uses though

It may not have precluded the use of the gun pod, but none of the Hawk 200 brochures i’ve seen advertise a gun pod. Instead they make a big deal about how the built in cannons mean the pod is not required anymore (so they probably thought it was redundant to advertise it even if it could still technically be used).

Why not lol if it could carry it stick on I say.

Aiming the 25 and 30 is going to be a nightmare lol

it’s a tail numberless mockup, similar KSS001

Yeah that’s the vibe I got hense I’m not sure lol if the gunpod is totally self contained I don’t see why it wouldn’t be possible to have both the 25’s and 30

Ahhh makes sense

Something something Britain tax, if we can suggest Magic I/II, we can suggest AGM-65G

Lol yeah TBF probably use the 25’s for Air to Air and save the 30mm for popping ground targets

Any idea what the 80 lb Runway Denial Bombs and 80 lb Tactical Strike Bombs are? Also looks like we’ll finally get another British aircraft with Napalm.

80lbers could be Durrendal?

That was my initial reaction, but Wikipedia says they are 440 lb.
