There are 3 occasional bugs that I don’t really understand how to replicate or make useful reports about.
1- When unsinkability is lost I could no longer repair the hull, even auto didn’t activate it. This happened for HMS Vanguard without pumps or wetting, but to be honest with ammo explosions being what they are I don’t have the patience for this ship at the moment. I’m fairly certain other ships have been able to repair the hull when unsinkability was lost.
2- When the bridge (possibly other components) gets destroyed by fire, you can’t repair, but can turn on auto repair and it’ll start fixing it.
3 - You can’t target anything ,but activating autorepair, even though you have just spawned and not taken a hit yet, will let you target things without any repairs being indicated. This one is definitely real, I’ve helped a player in the game chat with it once, and seen it several times myself.
I’d like to help get them fixed but beyond hoping to remember to write a time and save a recording, what can be done other than asking others if they have noticed these things?
For odd and inconsistent bugs these types of posts can be useful to help finding the cause of a bug and to create a well written report for the issue. For general ones that are easy to replicate then there is a guide for bug reporting here: ([Navigation] Technical Knowledge Base | War Thunder Wiki)
Besides that rules are outdated. Cause any BM will give you that placeholder if you make a report by this rules for almost any issue.
Hey,
Thanks for the report, but unfortunately you have not included all necessary data. Without it it’s impossible to figure out what’s happened.
The report should include steps to reproduce, unedited screenshots made by the game engine, .clog and replay files with timestamps. Screenshot should be made during the bug or immediately after it occurs.
what’s polygon? I don’t know anyone who plays WT but I do have a 2nd computer that can run it.
I’ll try to be more thoughtful, a replay would be a good start, but allways I think mid-game ‘remember to save this one!’ and then several rounds later ‘oh, which match did that bug happen in?’ :)
