Had to reinstall war thunder after The launcher was not detecting files,after which i tried to open the game,Now the launcher is taking forever to open,my wifi is fine BTW.
It may seem that way, but it really isn’t. (It’s most likely not the true reason you’re having issue, but it is good for you to declare it at the outset)
If it’s taking ages to download, then you’ll have to figure that out. (I’d plug in directly whilst it downloads if you can’t be connected constantly)
If it’s hanging once it’s starting the game, you need to verify that you’ve exempted the game folder from your antivirus.
I agree. Last patch or two were particlarly hard on amount of data and read speed. I crash daily while just freezeing mid game and startup dile checks are taking forever indeed. The freezes are diaplying 100% hdd read speed used up, while ram is still available. Crash reports are being sent, but no joy so far…file checks done, drivers reinstalled, all the usual routine isnt helping, keep freezing mid game with unused ram and youtube running in 4k on another monitor no probs. Just like it has always been.
This is an interesting point you make. HDD, and also RAM are a factor if they are present.
I take my multiple SSDs for granted on the regular.

This game is very different and there are simple processes to follow to get issues sorted.
Many of which don’t get followed because checks notes ‘Everything else works fine’.
