Guided bombs from space

Hello everyone. To those who have read any of my previous posts will understand that my questions are a little more unique and tend to only have an answer held by a handful of players in the WT community. I have a new challenge/achievement I am interested in obtaining.

Achievement: High-Precision Strike (Gaijin.net Achievements)
Goal: Kill a player ground vehicle with a guided bomb from a distance of at least 20km

Currently I am testing different velocities, drop heights, and weapons to attempt for the best result. However; I have run into a barrier that is stopping me dead in my tracks. The best results I’ve gotten were from using the F-15 with GBU-8 and a max 10sec fuse timer (barely long enough to get the distance but also long enough for them to get away). But. My problem is with using the F-16C with GBU-24. Right before the Paveway lands it will veer to the side like the laser stopped working even while I am within 20km.

My questions are simple

  1. Is there a g bomb/aircraft that is better suitable for a such a feat?
  2. what tactic do I need to use to better optimize my platform? (i.e. just go to space, drop bomb, and pray I get far enough away before the bomb explodes)

Any advice or even volunteer a to help test this in a custom before going to GRB would be appreciated.
P.S. the reward for this is abysmal for how difficult it is

If KH-38s count I would use the KH-38ML on the Su-25SM3, that thing has such long range for some reason that it has literally killed me from 20km in an F-4E in sim.

I sadly do not have the SU-25SM3 yet, but I am slowly working on grinding towards it. My only concern is that the KH-38 series is a guided missile and not a guided bomb. If it was as simple as using a guided missile I would do it in a heart beat using either mavericks or finding a way to cheese the skipper that far on the A-6E TRAM (from memory the skipper guidance time isnt long enough nor is the rocket booster for such a task.) But I will definitely do more research on other possibilities.

Maybe a Walleye would do the trick? If you have access to something with a Walleye II ER that might work

My other roadblock is the airframe used. I can use the F-4 that carries Walleye, GBU-8, and the GBU-15 that I never see anyone use. However I’m skeptical of the Phantoms flight performance on doing this. I might have to try bomb tossing. It’s a shame there isn’t a later variant of the F-111 that was outfitted to carry GBU’s in game, or even one of the final A-6 prototypes/variants like the SWIP (Cough cough Gaijin Devs When? Cough) But I’ll post my findings here shortly on what I find to be more efficient or what does/doesn’t work. probably like a link to a spread sheet or something on all the compiled info.
