That’s a quick way to get a thread locked. You can argue for the 99A’s frontal armor to be boosted as per others’ hard work has pointed out, but if it were off racism, trust me, you won’t get far.

don’t discuss this topic anymore, returning to the theme itself

Many people say that the ZTZ99A is not the weakest MBT in the game, and it used to be true. The 99A was on par with the Challenger, Merkava, and Ariete, but lagged significantly behind the other top-tier MBT teams. However, in this BR update, the Merkava and Ariete have received significant buffs, which confirms what Chinese players have been saying - that the ZTZ99A has become the weakest MBT (still in a version named after Chinese vehicles). Therefore, we demand that the ZTZ99A receive the same buffs and fixes as the other top-tier MBTs in this BR update, and it is a completely reasonable request to address the same issues.

Players adapt to the game, just like Apple fans. This is helpless behavior.

It feels like gaijin is teaching players how to play games. Players are not allowed to complain, otherwise they will be banned from speaking

I understand and i’ve seen this quite a lot too. In the case of the person that you mentioned, trust me, quite a lot of players of other nations too find to have that issue aswell. Is he biased or against your nation? Well, not really. He follows what the Gaijin rules are at the end of the day, so if anybody complains about his or others’ work the issue is not them, but the system that currently is in place. The thing that i would suggest to any Chinese player is to avoid rants and “the developers are against us” attitude since it only lowers your chances of having a certain bugreports accepted and passed.

lmao what

Thanks for proving my point.

Challenger is getting no buffs.

Doesn’t the Challenger have his 5S reload speed?

Yes… But only a 4 round ready rack.

Compared to most nations 15+ round ready rack and 5 second reload.

But it was the first and for a while, the only top tier MBT to have a 5 second reload to compensate for the fact it has weak armour (gaijin refuses to model it correctly) and is the slowest tank at top tier by far. But now every other nation is getting a 5 second reload. This is no longer a buff over other MBTs, its the average and so, its far weaker than most other tanks. It could do with either a faster reload (maybe 4 seconds) or its ready rack increased to IRL levels.

The Challenger’s slow speed is a problem of its own design, and there is no way to modify the power-to-weight ratio, but as for the loading speed, Challenger players and 99A players are not enemies, and should stop arguing and ask gaijin to shorten the loading time

OP presented a riddle about the weakest tanks at top tier.

That in my opinion (and the opinion of many) is the Challenger 2/3 and the Ariette. I was told I was completely wrong and so explained why I wasnt.

what needs to happen is a decompression of top tier. You have 2 full BRs stuck at the same BRs

I also think gaijin should not continue to force top MBT of all countries to have the same BR, let the strong ones go to 12.3 and the weak ones stay at 12.0, but at the same time, increase the fire rate to the game average is also my demand

In previous releases, I generally didn’t consider the Ariette a TOP MBT because it only had 11.3 BR, unlike the 11.7 of other MBTS

11.3 or 11.7 doesnt really make much of a difference in terms of what you face 9/10 times. The gap should have been more like 1.3 BRs for some things

What do you think should be done to solve this problem? It was clear that changing the BR gap to 1.3 was a change gaijin could not have agreed to

In the latest BR changes, I would simply leave the Challenger 2s, Ariettes and other worthy candidates at their current BRs and only move the good tanks, like the 2A7V, BVM, 122, etc up to 12.0. This at a minimum would help move them more than 0.3 BR away and help greatly to mitigate the divide. In the future, as soon as possible, extend this again and move them up to 12.3.

In addition to that, actually fix the outstanding problems on many tanks. Britain is what I know so I shall give example for the Challenger 2.

  • Increase ready rack size to IRL levels (report for that is like a year old) so that its not at such a disadvantage (CR2 4 rounds vs SEPv2 is 18 rounds)
  • Fix the Armour, especially the gun breach to match IRL performance (about 50 bug reports a year old for that)
  • L27A1 is underperforming
  • Possible reload rate increase for balance (4.5 seconds?)

Challenger 3TD really should get a 5-6 second reload rate with the DM53s. It has literally no armour at all, even less than the Challenger 2 and probably less than the Ariette, whilst still maintaining the same low speed as the Challenger 2. It is probably the worst top tier MBT in game right now.

Challenger 2 will always be slow, no one is disputing that (though regen steering would help greatly) but instead it should either have good firepower or good armour, it has neither.

In addition to just MBTs, Fixing the tree in general would be good:

  • Add decent top tier additions to augment the tree such as a SAM system with a range greater than 8km (10km vs helis), perhaps the Supecat HVM that fires 14-16km range ASRAAMs
  • a decent top tier IFV such as the Ajax or Boxer.
  • Additionally, improving our CAS options such as via AGM-114Ls on the AH-64D or add them with the AH-64E. Additionally, Brimstones via the Tornado Gr4 would be extremely fun.

Эта страна, конечно же, Китай!
For the three vehicles 99A, VT4A1, WZ1001(E)LCT, at this stage, the three vehicles are extremely lack of heading Angle protection, all of these three vehicles have no lining, and the occupants of the car are only 3 people, and the survival ability is not good after the breakdown. Their autoloader was capable of only 7.1s of loading, lagged behind almost all other top main battle tanks, and lacked fault-tolerance in high-intensity combat. In the top tier, the best shell-piercing shells they could use had a maximum penetration of only 600mm, and the loading was significantly behind that of the other line end main battle tanks, making the attack and counterattack capabilities of the three vehicles significantly inadequate.

even less than the Challenger 2 and probably less than the Ariette

unfortunately not true, sure challenger 3 only has 40mm around turret, but the turret cheeks still technically function as armor whereas ariete may as well just be cardboard, and arietes and challengers have basically the same problem with lfp, however arietes are getting 5 second reload soon and I don’t think anyone uses them anyways, especially since italy got 2a7HU.

So I certainly pity challenger players and agree that only good top tiers should go up and not arietes, challengers, merkavas etc (I personally would rather arietes not get 5 second reload and instead just don’t go up in BR (also why is the ariete AMV a higher BR than the other ones? a tiny bit more horsepower means does not really mean 0.3br).

as it stands this “decompression” isn’t really a decompression (for top tier at least) as its just everything is going up.

since italy just got leopard 2a7, I think they next nations that need better top tiers are china or france since they haven’t even hit the 600mm of pen benchmark

I feel we lost the classic thing where each nation had trade offs on their top tiers:

  • american: mostly well rounded but more mobile but had big weak point,
  • germany: also mostly well rounded with more armor,
  • russia: slow but mostly good everything else
  • greatbritan: lots of turret armor, decent everything else, no hull armor
  • japan: 4s autoloader, no pen, no armor
  • italy: lots of pen, no armor
  • france: japan but with teeny amount more armor

I miss how simple top tier used to seem from the outside
