Basically, it is a water bomber unit that operates 10 CL-215T and 4 CL-415 will receive 10 DHC-515 produced by the company De Haviland Canada.
Even though,throughout its history, this unit has experienced eight serious accidents, five of which were fatal, resulting in the deaths of fifteen of its members.
For the notorious service to the citizenship this unit had received many civil and military awards.
It has participated on misions on Spain and abroad in countries like Algeria,Turkey or even Chile.
The main base is Torrejón de Ardoz but on the summer it is deployed across the entire national territory.
