If Gaijin has to add a premium F-14 then I’d much rather it be a copy paste F-14A or B with the livery of some famous squadron, like “F-14A VF-84” or “F-14B VF-103”

The only thing there is we already have a high rank prem 4th Gen, that being the F/A-18C Early (which if I’m honest should’ve been TT, foldered with the F/A-18A).
Maybe we’ll see an F-14A “Late” added as a squad vehicle with a VF-84 livery, which would allow for the F-14D to remain in the TT (possibly foldered with the F-14B)
True, and it’s selling like hotcakes I believe so not likely to be replaced anytime soon

VF84 never had late model F-14A if you mean the tomcat with ALR-67 RWR.
Seeing as we’re already getting Gen 4 squad aircraft (Su-33, F-16A MLU, likely even more to come) I imagine we’ll see one for the US either in December or sometime in 2026.
I personally think the best candidates are down to an earlier F-16 (F-16A Block 15/F-16A Block 15 OCU or F-16C Block 30) or an F-14 Tomcat of some kind (hoping it’s an A-late rather than Gaijin doing the stupid thing and using the F-14D for that slot). However, I could also see Gaijin going with a two-seat Eagle…
It seems anytime the F-14 isn’t completely and utterly irrelevant to the community, it gets nerfed or uptiered, so probably not a good idea knowing Gaijin’s opinion of the jet.
The C looks so much cooler, but it’s much worse in basically every relevant metric. Inertial drift doesn’t help you, and you still have to baby them all the way into pitbull if you want them to find anything.
That being said one of the last things the Tomcat in WT has left is cool factor, so I normally just use the Aim-54Cs.

It changes nothing from F-14A Early except TCS…
IMO TCS should be to part of stock grind for F-14A Early but, never happen :(
In that regard, unlike Gaijin, Heatblur modeled x4 variants of the F-14 (F-14A-135-GR Early/Late, F-14B, F-14A IRIAF coming soon) and implemented the removal of the TCS and GPS dome as visual options.
Hope Gaijin will do exactly the same thing.

the instability caused by the AOA button is a complete lie if you take the F14B into FULL real sim controls Disable THE SAS servos it flys completely fine its a lie made up with no evidence

Every plane that got the AoA button was made artificially more unstable by gaijin when they got it
they become a little jerky and bounce some times but its not like you cant over come the instability its manual control you must keep the plane stable manually

Gaijin made every plane easier to wingstall that got the AoA button once they got it
yeah what about it ? wing stalls happen in a lot of planes just monitor you speed and dont misuse the button
