just wish gaijin gave ability for multicrew RIO…

Honestly, the cockpit/HUD is the sole reason I want this. Everything else would be a bonus.

So to let you know, the RIO’s cockpit is wrong. The F-14D and F-14B (U) have PTID’s and another MFD like here:

That picture seems to be from the F-14A or B.

I see, good point. I initially thought it could be the F-14D(R) with an older layout of the instruments, or it could be that it was before it got modern avionics modifications that included newer PTID.

I still return to this thread until I see “passed to devs” somewhere.
I really want the super tomcat man, esp now that the hornet is confirmed, it would a dope foldered vehicle to cap off that era of Naval fighters

It doesn’t have to be “passed to devs” , they can just release it if they have it plans .

It should be F-14B(U).

They also upgraded RIO seat cockpit.

Wouldn’t “passed to devs” indicate they have interest in it?

question does F14D have g limitt overide paddle switch like F18

It doesn’t have G limiter at all. It’s not FBW like the F/A-18. It has DFCS, which increases its maneuverability and stability, but doesn’t limit the aircraft.

Not at all. It only means that suggestion moderator or someone in charge of suggestions approved said suggestion. It has nothing to do with devs having or not having interest. Its a bit of a lottery anyway

Now that the F/A-18 Legacy Hornets have been added to the game, Gaijin will have to choose between adding this F-14D or F/A-18E Super Hornet to further expand the top-tier naval aircraft line in future updates this year.

Since the F/A-18C Early has been added as a premium, I don’t think the F-14D will be added as another naval aircraft premium, as the F-14D functions similarly to the F/A-18C. Therefore, it has two potential options for addition: either as a tech tree researchable aircraft or as a squadron vehicle. I can definitely see it being added in one of these options.

I thought the lau127/a was used for wing pylons
For araams witch I also thought had a dual configuration?

The F-14 can’t use the LAU-127. Perhaps it could have simply been fitted as a test, but nothing more.

And what source tells you that it can’t use the lau127?

NAVEDTRA 14313, page 3-20.

The LAU-127 is also available for the AIM-9, but it states that it can only be used on the F/A-18.

I’m actually a little surprised they didn’t add the f-14d in with the hornets this last update ngl.

I have a feeling it will come in the next major update

The hype around it isn’t super high, not like when the A was added. The D would be overshadowed by other aircraft that are coming at the same time
