Ground RB br 10.0 and upwards is in a terrible state, games are decided in 3 minutes

Here’s pretty much every single game:
Spawn in, rush the cap
One side gets the advantage
Premium one death leavers are dead
we are 2 minutes and 30 seconds into the game
the rest of the players get the gist of how this game is gonna go
most leave
3 minutes and 30 seconds and over 50% of one team has left
another 30 seconds and now one team is spawncamping the 3 gepards left in spawn.

I never get to use my lineup and I always feel stressed out because I know if I don’t rush and kill everyone in 10 seconds then nothing interesting will happen and I will sit there with 1 assist and 300 score after 4 minutes and I don’t feel like traversing all the way to the enemy spawn and fight over scraps for the remaining 2 mintues…

It’s a shame because the core gameplay, ie: controlling your tank/jet, firing, aiming, using special munitions etc is really satisfying but the game mode just doesn’t allow for good gameplay.

I dont think early caps give an advantage unless one team gets all 3, but ya probably 80%+ of games in ground are decided of how deep one teams players lineup is and willing to spawn multiple times. And this will never change unless there is 1 spawn mode and another mode that puts some expectation on players to be present for the whole match.

Its too hard to win a match with a massive numbers disadvantage when the win condition is controling caps. If it was tdm of 1cp its possible to carry but not 3cp. You cant be everywhere at once and going to a cap with a numbers disadvantage is usually a death setence.

Blame Gaijin and their —lack of— will to provide actual large maps to slow the game’s pace.
Insted, they want you in the chaos of CQB and in won/lost games under 4 minutes.

Yep its top tiers biggest downfall.

The game is won by the team that has the highest number of people willing to spawn more than once.

And even then it immediately demoralises you when you are one of those players, you die say 4 minutes in (maybe even with 5+ kills and a cap or two!), you check the scoreboard while waiting to respawn and see that theres only 5 players on your team left vs most of the enemy team. And its like, what is even the point of continuing?

The only real fix frankly is to do something that makes leaving while you still have spawnpoints and vehicles to spawn in severely unappealing. I genuinely think its one of the biggest issues facing GRB currently, and its a big reason why I rarely play top tier and most stay at like 9.0 and under. (And even then mostly WW2 tiers where its the least common)

The game ends when a team controls the key points, that’s all. Map size or making match leave unappealing won’t change the match result, the team that starts better and controls the map will win 80-90% of the times.

Low tiers games last longer just because players keep spawning, but change the course of the battle is almost impossible

I honestly think it has more to do with the point-based gamemode being seriously outdated especially for top tier. Why do we still have to rush to cap zones for knife fighting when majority of the tanks in the game are supposed to be used at higher ranged? Then you also get punished for doing that, because the tickets are ticking down if you don’t rush to the point yourself (and possibly get yourself killed). Changes to the gamemodes themselves are needed.

I posted a suggestion about implementing a sort of simplified eternal confrontation mode for ground rb, but it was stuck waiting for approval and then removed because I can’t see it anymore.

I was thinking it could be like selecting for night battes.
The game mode has an initial phase of like 20 minutes where the ticket bleed is incredibly slow and teams are replenished by people queuing up for the game mode, so teams are full for at least 20 minutes.

Maps are the same as in ground rb.

After 20 minutes the game enters a second phase where ticket bleed returns to normal and you basically have normal ground rb.

Apparently the player base wants these small cramped maps, or they will be “bored of driving to the battlefield” for more than 20 seconds…freely quoted from another thread!

Small, garbage maps.

Poor placed objectives, and too few at that.

Too easy to gain and maintain map control.

Too easy to spawn camp and on some maps even spawn snipe.

Bias issues between BR and in-game code, let alone Gaijin’s usual spaghetti code.

It’s small wonder people even spawn at all in high and top tier.

ODL is a major contributing factor here and Gaijin really made a mistake introducing top tier premiums for Ground when instead, it should’ve been a thing for Air as ARB specifically is a single spawn mode so ODL isn’t an issue.
