Honestly im just waiting to see the ****storm that will be gaijin adding the 2A8 to other nations, its bound to happen. Though im even more interested in the Ariete getting their correct armor.

I have given up hope on ariete getting actual armor, after the a200c and just so much incredibly clownish mistreatment of Italy TT, I’ve moved to Italy naval.
I honestly think devs are just trying to clown on us

That was Italy. Hungary never wanted to buy 2A8s. Hungary bought the 2A7HU.
Italy wanted to modify and build their own tech into the 2A8 but KNDS refused it, so now Italy is in the KF51 Panther project.

First, Gaijin will definitely put the Brazilian Gripen E in Italy, since Brazil already operates I think more than 10 Gripen E fighters, Hungary does not operate the Gripen E and much less bought it, even if it did buy it, it would not arrive now, third, it will not become another Gripen C, but rather an update of modules, statistics and armament of the African, Thai, Hungarian and Swedish Gripen C, fourth, I think Brazil deserves a fighter since we are one of the largest War Thunder audiences, fifth, Sweden is shorter than the Italian line, so even so the Swedish line is more worthwhile

gaijin uses sub trees to fill gaps in the thech trees thats why Italy and Britain did get the Gripen C in the first place, because they didnt had any competitive plane at that time
and it there was a statment from Smin before on that matter clearly saying that Britain will not get teh Rafale or Su-30 because they have a competitve plane with the Eurofighter
this isnt a matter of how rare the plane is but to fill gaps in tech trees as stated by Smin and just becasue Brazil has the Gripen E dosent mean it will be added in the Italian tech tree

brazilian AMX is in italy is there because italy is codeveloper of said plane; not because brazil is italian subtree.
should brazilian gripen E come to the game, its likely to be in standalone brazilian TT or subtree. If thats not the case, it will likely go again to sweden as premium/event; should game get to the point where there will be premium gripen E.
Its the case similiar to Kfri C10 and F-14 IRIAF - operator countries have little to nothing in common with the TT they found themselves in, beside buying the planes from said country and in the case of Kfir C10, upgrading it.

at that time, wasnt the only practical difference between swedish JAS39A and the SA JAS39C the lack of HMS, which the swedish JAS39A got for the time of live release?

I would count on the Gripen E appearing on the Japanese TT because of Thailand first before it appears in Italy since compared to Brazil, Thailand is a full subtree of Japan. Of course that will only happen after the Gripen E has been delivered to Thailand.
Them relasing the C and A at the same time also inadvertently permanently screwed the C and A up as neither of them in game are real and are rather abominations put together for what gaijin wants.
Again gaijin should never have released the C and A at the same time because they couldn’t handle them and still cant correct them. A shouldve been added 2 months prior when the F16C came in then in December the C could’ve gone to both Sweden and Britain. I could list you every problem brought on by releasing the A at the same time but theres no real point since its been talked to death.

Not that crazy to expect the Gripen E to go to Japan first because gaijin decides to add them a 14.0 which inadvertently screws the Gripen E over forever because they didn’t bother adding it with its EW systems, sweden would then wait 6 months since gaijin would say they already got 2 14.0’s back to back despite one being 13.7 material and the other being some mid hornet with BOL

no aircraft in the game has its EW suite, this issue wouldnt be unique to the Gripen E unless gaijin decides to add it to everyone BUT gripen E.
Gripen C lacks its additional middle pylon for bombs was bug reported on the dev when it first came.
You had a plethora of people who have no idea what they are bug reporting and had the SAAF gripen using MS20 documents for bug reports despite SAAF never having the money to buy the MS20 upgrade.

The Gripen A WAS lighter than the C on release but nerfed to match the C in weight despite that being incorrect. It lacked the internal countermeasures increase and refueling probe.
Gripen A is missing NCTR on its hud because they never do anything with it anymore and only the C, (minor gripe but its a problem because the vehicle doesn’t get worked on ever)
Gripen C’s are all sorts of wrong from their radar to their avionics, they use the MS17 radar from the A but Necronomica believes it may be the MK. III radar which is wrong for the Gripen A
All Gripen C’s have GBU-39 which is wrong for SAAF as they again didn’t buy MS20 which means their Gripen cant use GBU-39 but as stated by smin the devs are doing whatever they want.
All Gripens are missing their MAW’s pod, would give them performance similar to the EFT’s MAW’s.
Gripens are missing most of their correct armaments (minor gripe, but it doesn’t really matter since gaijin gave the SAAF gripen the fake loadouts first with them having AGM65 B they never used but people only ever mention sweden…)
Voice warning is also missing but also a minor gripe
