Is it worth grinding to top tier equally in each tree or just rushing one?
You get boosts for completing one tree but they seem minimal
It is worth it to play what you enjoy.
If you play just one nation and get to top tier and enjoy that, that is great.
If you play multiple nations and eventually get to top tier and enjoy that, that is great.
In the end, you make the most RP and play the most by doing what is fun for you. I know people who have grinded out end of line planes (Tier VI/VII/VIIIs, back when each rank respectively was top) by playing planes at Rank II or III. Same goes for tanks. Forcing yourself to do something that you do not enjoy kills both the fun and the RP gain because all you end up doing is getting frustrated.
So I guess TL:DR play what you enjoy, and that will get you the most RP.
It is up to you…if you grind ONE TREE you will get higher faster…if you grind all of them you will spend more time playing WW2 vehicles. I believe it depend on personal preference…
HOWEVER…a couple points that you should be aware:
-
Grinding gets tougher as you climb…so if you grind more nations you will get MORE vehicles, albeit lower tier ones. If you research one (or two) trees you will get faster to modern vehicles…but have less overall.
-
If you play moderately, repair is cheaper if you use more nations as you can leave them repairing “for free” while you play other nations. If you play one nation or play a lot, then you have higher repair costs (SL costs).
AGAIN…IMHO the important part is you play what you want…if you want MBTs/jets…you will be happier playing your favourite nation up to them…even if it means higher SL costs and/or less vehciles.
It can take u years if u play all tech trees
Focus on one or 2
Something I may add on to this is that when you vary which nations you play, you have a much better understanding of the weakspots of all the vehicles, and also what the best way to use your vehicles is. For example:
I started off with the US, and struggled for quite a bit at Top Tier Ground. I took a long break to grind other nations- notably Italy and Russia- and learned how to counter the T-XX series, and recently I went back to play top tier and have had a blast.
Another example is the KV-1s. In my M4s, I struggled at first to know where to pen. However by playing the KV-1, I learned where the weakspots are.
Variety will encourage healthier, more capable gameplay. However, grinding one line will get you to the top faster if that is what you so desire.
You can race to the top of a single tree, but if you do you will miss out on a lot of fun vehicles in the other trees. Also don’t assume that the top BR is the most fun to play. Some of the best battles I’ve had we’re in the 4.7 to 6.7 range.
