I’m not even going to bother. You clearly didn’t see me explicitly say the Sherman 122 shouldn’t go to the US because it’s a Sherman. It was an example. I don’t give a shit where you think it should go. That’s irrelevant to this blog.
The entire point of my statement was the opposite of what you’re fussing about.
You’re assuming I have a problem with what you want, which I don’t. Realistically, if Israel and other minor nations can’t have reliable competitive additions, then a nation that doesn’t exist anymore will likely never come to this game as a full tech tree.
The F-35I is an Israeli independent upgrade package. And please, look lower than the first few sentences. There’s more.
I will let you know that I am not as well-suited to Air discussions compared to those involving ground vehicles. If you wish to discuss Israeli aircraft, please consult the creator of this webpage, BasherBenDawg8.
As a Cypriot, Cyprus going to Israel is even weirder. The North hate Israelis, and the Republic calls them invaders and occupiers. The ROC and Israel have shaky relations considering the next largest political parties despise them while the current seem to love them. There’s not really any history there either.
Always nations calling them that since Israel’s birth, why you think israel had a lot of santions even during war against its neighbours. But still from what they say, they sure are happy to buy from Israel.
Even with controversy and backlash, I believe this was the best period of weapon sales Israel ever had. And still counting, not only for us, but like germany leo2a8 aps or taiwan i-dome.
Not to mention the big sales in spike atgm still going, even with greece
There is no “Greece Cyprus”, only Republic of Cyprus and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. And I’m referring to the Republic of Cyprus.
They expressed interest, but they also expressed interest in other MBTs. The Barak MX is right, but neither are a good enough link for a subtree when other countries exist (specifically a fair amount of Latin America, Azerbaijan, Czechia (?)) and their own Export projects (similar to Brazilian AMX in Italy) and Singapore (non-exclusive).
And as a Cypriot I know the situation in Cyprus. A lot of Cypriots hate Israel and the largest politicians call them invaders. Its an extremely weird move imo. I’m not saying there is no link at all, but its relatively weak and a weird choice. Especially with the current situation with Israelis in Cyprus.
*Making this clearer because I’m not going to have a long conversation about this, all I’m saying is that it is weird and odd when there’s better options than Cyprus and the current view of Israelis in Cyprus. I will be grinding Israel for Cyprus if they go for it anyways. I just think its a weird choice, not that it shouldn’t happen.
Cyprus is heavily connected to Israel. How is that even a debate? They were going to be the only country ever outside of Israel to operate Merkavas as well because of that.
If there’s any country that holds no doubt it belongs in Israel as a sub-tree, that’s Cyprus.
I shouldn’t have to repeat my points over and over again. There is more than the latest messages, and unfortunately, my largest debunk was nuked because someone got their feelings hurt after I called out their blatant bias.
Greece is massively buying all kinds of Israeli weapons right now and is working closely with Israel militarily. This includes Joint Military Training. Regionally, Greece and Israel share similar concerns. They’re both Mediterranean militaries with a common enemy close by.
From what i know of, Israel, Republic of Cyprus and Greece are together in the GSI project…
which is important for the nations themselves and is included in the Commission’s energy projects as well.
So , yes they do have ties. I don’t know in what exactly level , but that’s a multinational deal .
And that’s another reason Israel isn’t good with Turkey, because Turkey’s objections slow the progression a lot.
Anyway…
