IIRC was a full scale and some elements like gun were built. But yes with the addition of M-109 no reason for add a protoype.
What about M-108 and M-110 both used by Spain???
Something I missed from June 13th of last year, an unveiling of the Hellenic “M113 Remote Vulcan” (M113 RV). This is the prototype I previously discussed in my November 2024 post. While we do not yet know the full capabilities, we can assume that it has modern FCS/sights and therefore is an improvement over the previous M113/M61 mashups.
This is true, however it’s a domestic conversion so still worth inclusion in my eyes. Regardless, the BMP-1A1 w/ZU-23-2 already found within Chieftain’s tree is a better pick IMO due to its lower profile and better armor, not to mention the fact that it’s in service whereas the M113 mod was a prototype if I remember correctly.
I would also like to note that Greece uses modified M48A3/5 MOLF that retain the 90mm Gun while being equipped with the MOLF fire control system and two plane stabilzier
Well modern grenade launchers tend to come with multi-purpose HEAT rounds for light armor, and since this one is mounted on a relatively primitive APC I figured it could work as mid-tier light tank.
And Greek M113 MILAN is redundant anyways since Spain uses something very similar but in bigger numbers.
I posted this vehicle and video a while ago, back in comment #38. Since then, we’ve gotten an official prototype, so I’m not sure this one is needed anymore.
