I’m gaming on a potato PC and need to dial the graphics back to low/minimum. Every time I try, the game resets to High. This makes the game close to unplayable. Any advice?

Can you make sure the config.blk file in the game’s installation directory is not read-only?
The file in question is not read only. It is also a 0 KB file.
delete it, start game thru launcher (it used to create new config blk) then make ur desired settings then make it read only
