On console WT, theres a minor issue in that we have little control over our graphics, save for PostFX. What makes it an issue is when older consoles (such as an Xbox One or PS4) are required to play at their maximum setting no matter what console it is or its age. For many, this may not be an issue, but for those who utilize an older PS4 or Xbox One that doesn’t run as it had in its prime, it can make Warthunder near unplayable.
Even whether for older or newer consoles, there are many issues with console not getting graphics settings, even if they’re just rudimentary, and personally I’d love to turn down this atrocious motion blur.

Motion blur, it should be possible to change (if the snail blesses you) but all other things like texture packs, likely cannot change because the technology to change it doesn’t exist on console. In age of empires 2, it’s possible to change many features of the graphics, so I believe that if Gaijin wanted to, they could provide many settings. They just choose not to.
Just hope that you’ll be able to upgrade in a few years when the new Xbox and PlayStation release! I just started playing on Series S again and it isn’t great, but I’m poor, so I can’t do anything about this :(
I have a Series S personally, the issues of lower end don’t apply as much, but I feel like Gaijin could at the very least give us options with particles/particle density and those sorta things
Consoles are at such a disadvantage all the time compared to PC. ATP it just gets disappointing how often gaijin throws us under the bus and never even looks at consoles problems.
I find that War Thunder has better support than most other games. Tropico 6 recently got an update for console, which genuinely surprised me. Most developers just don’t care at all, look at XCOM2 and Civilization VI which have bugs so bad that the player must regularly restart the game. The main problem with war thunder is the amount of new bugs that they introduce with each major update. The bugs don’t break the game, but they may as well because some of the bugs are pretty bad (font/low res pixel trees)

I play ONLY on console. I DONT THINK being able to reduce graphic settings is a good idea. And i do get the “PC players have an advantage” argument…but if fixable, it should be the other way around…
BTW…i have no problem with a “standard” PS4…i also have a PS5 and there is an obvious difference…but game is definitely playable in PS4…actually better since a few updates ago…
Issues i have (on both) are more network related…
In my “perfect” world…all players would play on “fair” graphic settings…not dumb it down to spot targets behind smoke or obstacles…
I just want the rtx for the reflections
I don’t even want to tone down my settings for spotting (I personally think that should be bannable as it’s exploiting the game) I just want to have some range of control over things like particles or motion blur (which the big offender turned out to be a bug iirc but still)
You mean like tanks flyng and constant disconnects?
Yes…and “Bad Network” messages and lag in updating stuff positions…
Like tank teleporting 5/10m when network updates my position…or time between shot and result being 5s or so…
My provider improved the service lately…but before those issues were common…and not PS4 related…
man I dont have those issues except in naval at long distances, might just be how the games rendering it though
