Graphics drivers hanging

For the past week or so, I’ve occasionally been experiencing an issue when alt-tabbing back into the game. It doesn’t seem to happen while I’m already tabbed into the game, but occasionally when I switch back to it, the game will completely freeze.

When it happens, the freeze usually lasts anywhere from around 10 seconds to up to 2 minutes in my experience. It doesn’t happen very often, so I wouldn’t consider it a particularly urgent issue, but it is still quite noticeable when it does occur.

I’ve already tried the usual troubleshooting steps, including completely reinstalling my graphics drivers using DDU and making sure Windows is fully up to date. I have an NVIDIA RTX 4070 GPU. I’ve also tested the game on both Ultra Low and High graphics settings to rule out GPU overload or graphics settings being the cause. My FPS are also capped.

So far, the issue seems to be specifically related to alt-tabbing back into the game, rather than occurring randomly while playing.

I’d be grateful for any help or attempts to troubleshoot this with me. Since the issue doesn’t happen very frequently, I’m happy to test different things or provide any additional information or logs that might help narrow down what’s causing it.

The exact error is: Video driver hung and was restarted. Texture quality was reduced.

5080 in here, and does the same.
But sidenote, if you want to get back from that freeze, alt tab back to website etc what you had open.
ctrlaltdel to taskmanager , just keep task manager open until you hear WT music or about 10s , and alt tab back to WT. And it’s working again

I just wait until the freeze is over. Then I’ll get the “Video driver hung and was restarted. Texture quality was reduced.” And keep playing, it’s still annoying tho

Cant wait if it does on air game :D Or just when spawning air game.
But anyway, that’s way how to get that freeze away faster
