I’d say it could be a card issue, but I’d verify files first and check your drivers on your video card haven’t updated to something really recent…
Always verify files and clear the cache folder in the game folder… First thing to literally do in many cases.
Exactly. If none of the suggestions here work, re-install the game
It sort of corrected itself and things are back to normal. I’m not sure what caused this, first time in a decade I’ve had something like this happen. Thank you all for taking the time to respond.

had this once before - was a driver update I missed along with a major windows update. Few minutes to full update and all was 100% again.
