Graphics bug?

Same I kept the Steam version of the game which I normally play, and then downloaded the normal launcher. Nothing changed except for no custom hangar and skins and all that stuff, but it still happened. However, for some reason its fine on PS5.

It is War Thunder related ,nothing to do with your cards or drivers.

Are you sure about that? The issue persisted even after closing the game, leading me to believe its something to do with drivers for the GPU.
its also not just effecting the game, but his windows menu’s as well. Might not be a specific GPU driver, could be any sort of Windows updates, DISM/SFC etc

True. Only happens on War Thunder. I go and play Enlisted (Gaijin game) and it runs normally. Go to play War Thunder, have to restart computer because screen gets messed up heavily.

I would check windows updates, GPU drivers, open CMD as admin then run “dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth” and once that finishes run “sfc/scannow” Then reboot the computer once the beginning updates have applied. You didn’t specify what GPU you have as well, could help in troubleshooting.

Nothing to do with drivers

GPU is AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT

I will keep troubleshooting with the person having the issue thank you have a good day.

Every step completed, I will run War Thunder now to check for any changes.

Were there windows/GPU driver updates for you to install?

There was a Windows update, and for the GPU it only said “The best drivers for your computer are already installed.”

Ran War Thunder. Had to restart computer.

Any clear regions in the screenshot actually are pitch black areas on my screen.

RIP. When was the last update for your GPU? I do not have Radeon. Was the issue occurring before the update on Tuesday? You could try to see if you’d be able to revert back to the old GPU drivers, if it has been recently updated.

How do I check for the latest update. Also, I do remember hopping on the dev server before patch day and only lasting 5 minutes before my screen went haywire. Seek and Destroy ran fine however. Also, how do I revert back to the old GPU drivers?

I’m not 100% sure with Radeon, but it would most likely be in the App they have for your GPU. But if it was occurring in the dev server as well, AND not on the previous update, we can almost narrow it down to the game itself as Pecanin said, but we had to do this other stuff to verify that.

Quick Google said you can use DDU or AMD Cleanup Utility to do this, id probably use the AMD one, idk about DDU.

Ah okay, are the apps you mentioned are supposed to be pre-installed or do I have to install it, and where do I find them ?

Believe its called AMD Adrenaline. Google that and it should come up, same with AMD Cleanup Utility.
IDK if I can put link in here but here you go, https://www.amd.com/en/products/software/adrenalin.html

Edit: If you were checking GPU drivers from Device Manager in windows, definitely do not do that haha, always use the software they have for you.
