Alone the fact that you ask for recommendations separates you from the majority of players - therefore a short reminder:

A lot of irl aces needed up to 100 combat sorties before they scored their first kill; and besides some know-how what your and enemy planes can do (or not) Air RB is no rocket science. There are quite useful vids on yt regarding prop Air RB.

Success is strongly connected to self-confidence based on knowing own strengths and weaknesses.

The Rank I-II event vehicles are useful for breaking up the grinding for events. Just wait until this next ground event starts, you’ll see games full of two vehicles: Pz.Sp.Wg.P204(f) KwK 38, Ka-Chi
