Pretty sure it’s the same except for the mount, as the M45 is actually the name of the gun mount and not the truck itself. (Edit cause I’m an idiot and forgot to include this part) The reason why this one is labeled as the M55 is due to it using an M55 mount that was based on the M45 but received upgrades, IIRC they were mostly internal and something to do with the back of the mount getting more armor or something like that.

Warthunder has plenty of M45 mounts. Any nation that could get this doesn’t need it.
It’s not an M45 mount. It’s an M55 (based on the M45 but was improved), but still, your opinion isn’t even logical, since you say this about anything that resembles something with a quad .50 mount and provide no evidence as to why it’s a problem, there’s no reason why it cant be added and your only “evidence” is that there are plenty of thing with a similar mount (I wonder why that is) but you fail to consider that everything that the mount is attached to is different.
Just because it has a quad .50 mount doesn’t mean they are all the same, they have their pros and cons, making them all unique.

Because we don’t need 10 separate quad mount AAs. The only nation that could would realistically receive it is Sweden, but Sweden already has a 2.7.

Why folder? Why even add? They’re entirely separate vehicles, and 2.7 is already covered.
So what? Maybe people want to have more than one way to play? You’re being negative about it because YOU don’t see any reason for it, while a majority of other people do, besides it’s not always about whether it has a counterpart in game, maybe people just think it looks cool enough to be added.

Sure it’s mostly similar to the french AA but it adds a lesser know variant without clogging the french tree

Honestly as a person who personally dont support C&P with the sherman in sweden, im Making an exception here, currently sweden lacks any rapid fire SPAA vehicles and we all know that the quad turrets Are capable of being used from 2.7-6.0 so in my opinion.
This and other danish option is great to increase the SPAA capability of sweden.
The 40mm that sweden has is hard to aim with the muzzle flash and the 20mm akan carriers are often slow to aim.
So in this case since its not mounted on a M16 platform i think its great!

Mount does not = vehicle, you say this to anything resembling a quad mount. Even the M35A1 lol the truck fitted with a quad mount and then given more armor lol, TBH you just have .50 without any valid reasoning.

In all fairness the yestervark and crusader AA MK2 are foldered together, despite being completely different,.
Yet most have either different turrets, guns or mounts. This would impact a vehicles speed, survivability, firing angles and rate of fire (depending on the 12cal).
Sweden doesn’t need the best of every world. Having an auto cannon is a tradeoff. It would be foolish for one nation to have the best SPAA of every type.
