Not entirely comfortable with the idea of being banned from chatting because some individuals decided to create chaos in the chat following recent events in Northern Europe. Why are we all banned? can the mods just ban those who are causing the agro? maybe this may help with future “global ban” decisions: Article 33 of the Geneva convention - Individual responsibility, collective penalties, pillage, reprisals
No protected person may be punished for an offence he or she has not personally committed. Collective penalties and likewise all measures of intimidation or of terrorism are prohibited.
Pillage is prohibited.
Reprisals against protected persons and their property are prohibited.
Are private corporations excempt from the collective punishment laws?

Idk about bans, i have not seen anythung in chat about what happened in russia, i do sleep 8hrs a day so maybe i missed something

Bigger question is how long it’s going to be off and if it will have an absurd timer when it’s turned back on like last time.
War Thunder is the only war game in the world to disable game chat for arbitrary reasons, it’s funny cause it’s a war game and the number one asset to any war game is “communication”, cant say how many times I have saved players from getting shot down by “communicating” to them their about to die.

Real world events should be irrelevant, War Thunder is a war game and war games require players to communicate in order to win.
They have turned it off three time when it shouldn’t have even been turned of once, if select groups of users want to be stupid with it then punish them and not the entire community. You don’t bring a sledge hammer to a surgery, you bring a scalpel.

It’s not about players making bad jokes, never was. Just like the last two times, it’s more about rumor control. It’s just something you have to put up with with Gaijin.

Ah damn, chat got disabled again? While I can see the reason…the game’s very nature attracts people that make these kinds remarks, regardless of if it’s for dark humor memes or legitimate apathy. All we can do is just roll with it. As someone who frequently uses the chat, using it to communicate or engage in a fun banter with allies/enemies is part of the fun in the game.

Exactly If only people would behave chat would not need to be temporarily disabled, it will return at some date soon.
