Israel shall suffer for all its sins,so no Derby ER. Having regular Derby on C.10 is punishing enough to everyone facing it. Let alone even better missiles on a better frame.

Su-30 is huge,fat,slow brick. Sure 6 PL-12 are ok,but its the only saving grace the plane have. Otherwise its mid for A2A.
So something interesting, the Derby-ER when taken from the SAM variant currently is equivalent to the AIM-120D in kinetic range for air to air while also being able to outmaneuver the AIM-120D by a large margin. Here’s a video by @serasа showing the Derby-ER having functionally the same time-to-target as the AIM-120D.

What are the conclusions?
- Currently Derby-ER enjoys similar range and time-to-target with the best missiles available in the current air to air inventory.
- Derby-ER out-maneuvers adversaries such as the AIM-120D while maintaining similar range advantage
- Derby-ER enjoys an advantage of being lighter than its adversaries such as PL-12A, AIM-120D, R-77-1 meaning it has less weight penalties on the airframe since the missile weighs just 122kg compared to something like the AIM-120D that weighs 161kg or R-77-1 that weighs 190kg.
- Derby-ER is currently underperforming in range by a significant margin so it is expected to outperform AIM-120D and R-77-1 in range while also being more maneuverable than the AIM-120D and only being more maneuverable than the R-77-1 in terminal stages due to the dual pulse mechanic and maintaining a lighter airframe than both.
I’m sorry but the 120D is horribly underperforming, Mach 1 at just 15km???
Edit: I just noticed the sub 500kph launch speed… That is to be expected as the 120D has a lot more drag at low speed than the Derby
Well it is understandable since they were launched at like Mach 0.4 and 1km alt, so very very slow and low.
Can you repeat this at ~mach 1 at 4000m?

Honestly I feel like the Derby ER would do a lot better if it got the old derby loft profile where it just went into the stratosphere so it can activate its second burn in very thin air
hi, i increased the firing distance to 60km instead of 30km in the last video, launch speed was m 1.09 at 4000m

The Derby-ER now outranges the AIM-120D while still enjoying much more maneuverability. It will be the outright best air to air missile in the game if added to an aircraft.
