Alright, so I was in a match playing with a lower-tier tank in a higher-tier battle. Got to the right side of a building preparing for sneak attack. In the middle of a shootout, I peeked out, took a shot, and reversed back into cover. As I was pulling back, I hit C to rotate my camera in 3rd-person view. That’s when things got weird.
The crosshair, instead of realizing there was a whole damn wall in front of me, turned green, meaning the game still thought I had a clear shot. So anyways, I started blasting—boom, killed a tank through solid cover. No cheats, no mods, just the game deciding walls don’t exist.
I only did it once, not trying to get into a trouble over some unintended wizardry, but figured you should know. Been playing this game for way too long to be ignored like a spec of dust, so if you actually fix this because of me, maybe throw a little something my way. Cheers.
Update: After further reviewing the replay from my opponent’s perspective, I noticed that the shots appeared to be coming from a window on the other side of the building invisible to me. This means the issue is likely way simpler than I initially thought. Most likely, the wall I was shooting through doesn’t have a hitbox, allowing my shots to pass through it and then through the window. Hope this helps narrow it down. But what do i know, im just a random war thunder player. I didn’t have to report this, but I did—out of the kindness of my heart. Either way, if this bug gets patched because of me, I better see some kind of reward. A free unique tank, a pile of Golden Eagles, something—because I’ve spent too much time and money on this game just to be ignored like some insignificant peasant.
