I would have to disagree with you on disregarding the third parties opinion though the rest of the post makes sense, yes perhaps their opinion means less but that is still valid in my eyes. We all share the same game and annoyingly enough what happens in places you don’t play effects what you do play. That to me at least justifies some sort of opinion worth listening to. If you just disregard it you are not seeing the whole picture.

For me it is akin to ‘I live in this country’ I can talk about my country with other people in my country but anyone outside it is invalid becuase they have not lived here. But your country heavily effects the people around it no? So surely they have something worth sharing?

This arguments rests on the assumption that the person who doesn’t play the vehicle themselves somehow has any insight to offer that people who play all relevant vehicles don’t already have.

It’s nonsense, and it sounds like you’re simply trying to justify yourself when you made a statement about ‘all Russian tanks thriving in War Thunder merely because they’re Russian’.
A claim that comes from a place of ignorance as you’ve never played these vehicles, and a claim so evidently nonsensical that I already knew you’d never played Russian MBT’s without having to check.

Max Verstappen doesn’t have to listen to some random person’s opinions on his driving style when that person has never even stepped foot onto a racetrack in their lives.
Experience matters, it’s what provides people with a balanced view of a vehicles’ pros and cons. You’re not likely to understand how easily a Marder III H dies to artillery if you only ever end up getting shot by it’s 75mm.

Seems like an argument in my favour: People who travel to different countries have a much better informed opinion about said countries than those who’ve never visited.

I mean at the same time, for example, do you need to play the 12.3/12.7 Mirage 2K to know that you are not 1 circling them with F-4S?

Or what if person Z is going off by global stats?

Who’s more likely to know the answer to this question: Someone who’s played both aircraft or someone who hasn’t?

Besides, I’m not the person to ask because the last time I played jets is like a decade ago in my Sea Meteor.

Typically happens precisely because these sorts of people can’t form any other valid argument.

They’ll bring up global stats but they’ll ignore important context such as nation matchups, other vehicles in a line-up that could potentially carry the worse vehicles in this line-up, recent premium pack sales, quality of players for a certain nation, BR compression zones, etc.

I appreciate your honesty in how you feel. I will leave it there as I don’t think I can continue while you call me ignorant and nonsensical. Prolonging this will most likely only cause more harm than good for both parties.

I hope you have good battles in the future nonetheless :3

Important distinction, I called your line of: ‘‘It’s a Russian MBT and therefore it’ll thrive simply because it’s Russian’’ nonsensical and coming from a place of ignorance.

That’s not the same as me calling you ignorant as a person, hope it didn’t come across that way.

But do you need to play M2K to actually know you cant 1 circle it in Phantom? Do you need to die to it to know you cant do it? Or can you reach some conclusion in other way?

What about 105mm L7 guns? Do I need to play every 105mm L7 armed tank to accurately describe its behaviour on a tank, or can I just look at a statcard of tank I never played but has the same L7 gun and go “yep thats L7 gun it will perform this way at this BR”?

It is not meant as some skill check question or something, its just merely to demonstrate a point.

But thats not problem with stats themselves as much as with their interpretation.

Armor is nowhere near mediocre and it retains K5 on the sides, and yes it does get (2nd gen) thermals. You’re right about the reload and gun handling being above average but they’re very workable still, this thing will be great especially with 3BM60

Well, we need to add more vehicles to the Soviets because
We, nine survivors, need to give Daisy to ‘the one who pines for the fjord’
after 1990s

Isn’t the TT already in one of Gaijan’s games, I believe its a soviet handgun in Enlisted.

Tech-Tree.

Not Tula-Tokarev.

Oh, I understand it now

I would grind for an event heli. Kinda like how they do the IS-2 No.321

I hope next ground event will have something fun: thick armor or big gun. And, of course, with such expectation it will be low-tier (2-4).
Please, no boring high-tier copy-paste MBT or wheeled Bushmaster.
High-tier with >150 mm gun would be a dream (like Object 292).

Ykw I think I’m actually gonna skip this event. 45k for a month just to earn a CnP not worth it honestly

Pretty meh event vehicle tbh, but if you are like me keep dying to Spikes then having APS definitely helps lol

Just have the T80UM2 and have a good vehicle. No therms but 11.3 T80U is pretty epic

“If u keep dying to spikes”

me researching the Finnish ZSU-57-2(it will be my highest br vehicle I will actually play since WALL-E seems pitiful when stock)

This T-72 seems to have the best thermals in the Russian tank tree.

It “only” has Gen 2 thermals, not Gen 3. Gen 2 thermals are still quite good, especially compared to Gen 1’s. Check out this site if you want to see all the gen’s for NVD’s and TVD’s: https://thunderview.net/

At 12x zoom, there isn’t a huge difference between Gen 2 and Gen 3:
