Get the Spitfire Mk Vb (Float) in the Wings Over Water Event!

A naval aircraft with extremely limited capabilities(can cap a point) in a game mode where Gaijin has buffed AI controlled ship AA through the roof to ridiculous levels in order to to ruin naval aviation.
Great. And all this for 30K per stage.
Nerf ship AA AI.

Ouuiuu- it’s the floating spitfire I’ll have to get this one.

Probably I’ll never use it, but I’ll grind it and, this time, not to sell it. 500k for a rank 2 it doesn’t worth the effort. good to expand my collection

Showing your age man . . . . lol

They seem to like this floatie plane as well . . . ☻

(I think I like Splashfire myself . . . but I am flexible too . . . lol)

I could imagine it to be useful in Naval to snatch far out cap zones in lower BRs.

The floats are also useful to just touch an enemy controlled zone to start it’s to-neutral countdown and stop any ticket depletion that might have been caused by it.

is that the old test flight???

Probably.
Found on Google images

I was hoping for the squirt but I’ll take it

Not the floatplane that I was hoping for, but still neat

Surely the SR.A/1 will be added someday

You could land near carriers to repair and re-arm…

If there were carriers at that BR range

It will most likely completely dominate Air RB and be barely ever present in naval.

Shame I am on holiday over this event. I’ll probably pick it up on the market

Well, they’ve been neglecting float planes; right now, all of the PBY’s wings if you turn it barely, it will snap off.

And if carriers didn’t move too…
Basically forced to park 10 meters away and with a fully maxed repair time you can use carriers as repair points…

This is the max distance you can repair from

This is too far away :P

I am thinking to make a suggestion to floatplanes can repair and reload on rivers and coastlines, maybe that would make people think 2 times before ripping the floats, since you could make an instant bail out to reload/refuel if you come back undamaged.

Would also allow more flexible/sneaky plays

Edit:

It’s on course, hopefully it doesn’t sink on the way

Nice - a classy addition, unlike the last one.
And since I’m on gardening leave leading up to retirement at het end of the week this won’t take long at all :)

My vote is for Spitty McFloatface.
