Get the Scimitar Mk.2 in the Scimitar Strike Event!

and other nations when get event vehicles before “russian” event britain get boxer ifv now again one…

This was pre-warned in the blog before the floatplane Spitfire, this wasn’t surprise dropped and has been known about for 3 months already…

Wait,will it get a basket?

Shouldn’t do, never had one

well, its only right that, but cr2 had no too.

What BR is it?

L21A1 is not the desigantion for the APFSDS. It never entered service and such never had a designation

L21A1 is the designation of the RARDEN

we dont know yet, but around 8.0/8.3 probably

That added the power traverse cabling for CR2 as a “turret basket”, still complete bollocks but oh well. Scimi phyiscally get one because:

A) Seats are suspended from the roof
B) Nothing electrical in the turret besides the TVD sights

Also having sat in and drove around a Scimitar, there was no physical cabling going into the turret that I could see

Under reasonable circumstances,8.0
Because it is weaker in all that warrior
But the British are always in an unreasonable situation.
so,8.0-8.3

Let a man believe

Well Swingfire is actually a quite sophisticated MCLOS rather than SACLOS, no memery here.

Rhinemetall referred to it as L21A1 the “APFSDS-T 30mm Rarden round (L21A1)”

L numbers are not unique and can have overlap
E.g. the L21A1 could mean the RARDEN, could also mean the .50cal on the Chieftains

Yup…

L1a1 rifle
L1a1 bayonet for the L1a1 rifle.
L1a1 blank attachment
L1a1 .50 machinegun mounting
L1a1 84mm AT

Skipping to the relevant

L21a1 RARDEN
L21a1 demolition slab/charge
L21a1 anti tank mine
L21a1 5.56 magazine
L21a1 .50cal ranging machinegun

To name some of the meme.

some of the ammunition is truly peak comedy of figuring out which gun/artillery piece the thing is for (which I didnt even touch).

It is not as simple to say, that the ESPIRE has a single hood, and the BGTI has two, since the later variants of the Scimitars such as the Scimitar Mk.2, were also using BGTI.

However here is some visual examples of what the different sight mountings looks like:

Ingame screenshot of the BGTI on the Warrior ingame, with the two sighting hoods

Photos of the different sights the FV107 Scimitar used. Photo number 7 (buttom right) shows the a Scimitar with the BGTI, and a single large hood.

Both the Warrior and Scimitar Mk.2 have the BGTI sight housing modelled

Firstly I think you’re miss-understanding me, by two large sight hoods I mean both the Gunner and the Commanders’ sights have large sight hoods. Where as ESPIRE equipped vehicles have a single large hood for the Gunner

Secondly, the Mk.2 doesn’t use BGTI, BGTI was exclusively for the Armoured Recce units supporting the CR2s, as BGTI wasn’t just thermal sights. BGTI was a full battlefield management system, thus necessitating a secondary BGTI sight for the commander, giving two large sight hoods of equal size on the top of the turret.

The Mk.2 was developed for Forward Recce, and uses the ESPIRE sight hood. With the caveat that they stuck the BMS and FCS portions of the Gunners BGTI sight on the ESPIRE sight when they changed the thermal sensor, but that’s not visible on the outside of the vehicle.
