Let a man believe
Well Swingfire is actually a quite sophisticated MCLOS rather than SACLOS, no memery here.
Rhinemetall referred to it as L21A1 the “APFSDS-T 30mm Rarden round (L21A1)”
L numbers are not unique and can have overlap
E.g. the L21A1 could mean the RARDEN, could also mean the .50cal on the Chieftains
Yup…
L1a1 rifle
L1a1 bayonet for the L1a1 rifle.
L1a1 blank attachment
L1a1 .50 machinegun mounting
L1a1 84mm AT
…
Skipping to the relevant
L21a1 RARDEN
L21a1 demolition slab/charge
L21a1 anti tank mine
L21a1 5.56 magazine
L21a1 .50cal ranging machinegun
To name some of the meme.
some of the ammunition is truly peak comedy of figuring out which gun/artillery piece the thing is for (which I didnt even touch).

It is not as simple to say, that the ESPIRE has a single hood, and the BGTI has two, since the later variants of the Scimitars such as the Scimitar Mk.2, were also using BGTI.
However here is some visual examples of what the different sight mountings looks like:

Both the Warrior and Scimitar Mk.2 have the BGTI sight housing modelled
Firstly I think you’re miss-understanding me, by two large sight hoods I mean both the Gunner and the Commanders’ sights have large sight hoods. Where as ESPIRE equipped vehicles have a single large hood for the Gunner
Secondly, the Mk.2 doesn’t use BGTI, BGTI was exclusively for the Armoured Recce units supporting the CR2s, as BGTI wasn’t just thermal sights. BGTI was a full battlefield management system, thus necessitating a secondary BGTI sight for the commander, giving two large sight hoods of equal size on the top of the turret.
The Mk.2 was developed for Forward Recce, and uses the ESPIRE sight hood. With the caveat that they stuck the BMS and FCS portions of the Gunners BGTI sight on the ESPIRE sight when they changed the thermal sensor, but that’s not visible on the outside of the vehicle.
gem alert or nah?
Hopefully it gets the dart round

I think you are right, with me miss-understading you. When you said with the single large hood, on ESPIRE, and two on the BGTI. I was thinking about the shield that you can use to cover the sight, since on the Scimitar the shield is a single large piece, where on the Warrior, it has a hinge in the middle.
I should have phrased it better initially, my bad.
8.0 is the perfect BR but it’ll probably come in at 8.3
As a rank VI I am sure it will be 8.3+ pending on the Brit tax lol.
Also depends on what gaijin decide for things like fin rounds and thermals.
Minimum Gen 2 TVD, APFSDS has been asked for for years on the Warrior and its never gained any substantial traction from Gaijin
I can’t see it being Rank VI without dart rounds. Without that, it’s just a taller Scimitar, which would not be justifiably higher than 7.7 (thermals aren’t gonna carry it to 8.0 alone imo). 8.0 Rank VI is not unheard of but extremely rare afaik. Only ones I can see are M41D and ZSU-23-4V.
As expected, nonetheless a cool vehicle to be part of a event. I’m hoping that this vehicle bring exclusive features from the research tree base model.
Like a unique APDS-FS projectile:

Although proper documentation for this ammunition would be required, unfortunately I didn’t find any useful information that this piece was dedicated to the 30 mm L21A1 RARDEN autocannon.
It gets a LRF so I could see it being higher just from that
I thought about it, and with LRF + Thermals, maybe so. It’s hard to say.
