Just wait until they add the “no aim, no shoot” policy to MBT’s aswell.
I’m not gonna lie, I look forward to it, because the backlash will hopefully be severe enough to revert this demented design on all other lights (that dont have crewless turrets ofc) aswell…

It’s completely stupid to shove every possible functionality into a singular module, that is often not given a damn about and just shoved in there with 0 effort or regard to historical accuracy (see: Leopard 2K, PT 16/PT 14(mod.), Begleitpanzer 57 mm, etc.) while the game has absolutely NONE of these functionalities modelled; (I dont think they should be added to be completely honest but thats a different topic)
Automatic Lead? - Nope
Inertial-Tracking? - Nope
Ballistics compensation? - Nope

I’d be completely fine with the FCS getting destroyed resulting in Stabilizers, Thermals/NVD, IRST, LWS etc. being disabled
But aiming and firing the gun? Thats just completely absurd, especially for vehicles that literally do not even have any interface between the sight and the fcs directly, i.e. use periscopic sighting equipment.
(Such as: TH 400, Leopard 2K, Begleitpanzer 57 mm, etc.)

And there are WAY too many vehicles that will have their firing ability disabled, when one of sometimes 3-4 sights total gets destroyed… Like hello? Do we consider that backup sights might be intended as backups for the other sights?
TH 400 is a good example here aswell, as the commander sight (currently modelled together into the FCS with everything else) literally has its’ own electronics block that serves the same purpose as that provided for the gunner’s sight…

But surely it’s historically accurate, right? That was the main argument for all of this crap afterall, surely they wouldnt just make stuff up…

(gun is flipped because it’s an older blueprint, some internal bulkheads arent shown)

I mean it’s gaijin man, good intentions half implemented xD

the turret baskets are a given as well, like they are just changing the models to be narrower and taller or fatter and smaller.
the VBCI has a stupidely huge turret basket inside as well which even 50 cals can disable leaving it completely useless.

Yes, I said it was the extended chassis of the TAM.
Perhaps because I used a translator, it wasn’t understood. It was never equipped with a 120mm cannon.
The following armed vehicles were made from the TAM family:
VC TAM (Combat Vehicle) Turret and 105mm cannon.

VCTP TAM (Personnel Transport Combat Vehicle) Turret and 20mm Rh202 cannon.

VCA TAM (Artillery Combat Vehicle) Turret and 155mm cannon. Extended chassis.

VCTM TAM (Mortar Combat Transport Vehicle) 120mm mortar.

VCLC TAM (Rocket Combat Vehicle) LAR-160 (160mm) and MAR-350 (350mm) rockets

VCDCA-30 Dragon (Anti-Aircraft Defense Combat Vehicle) Turret and twin 30mm cannons with radar.

Added to this are all the Marders.

Weirdly it’s true to the style of badge they’re ribbing off

I don’t think they’re official patches, but they do look quite pleasant, not a bad concept for a decal IMO (The store where Smin’s photos are from)

What is this “experimental rifle” by the way?
Is it just AI or is it based on a real rifle?

It’s an E-11 Blaster of course!

Why 9.7? Stingray, TAM 2IP, Centauro, TH800, Rooikat MTTD, VFM 5 and Type 16 are all 9.3

It has mediocre gun handling, average reload, average firepower and most likely mediocre mobility due to the weak engine

Yo why was I actually kinda close?

You were pretty far off actually. Just got a bit lucky with the name
The E-11 is a kit-bashed Sterling submachine gun, which is for all intents and purposes a fancy Sten
Very different to the G-11, which mechanically is quite uh novel

I feel like the Germans took some inspiration from Star Wars.

The variant in the game can be referred to as H-400 or R-400, but it should not be TH-400.

The ‘box’ located above the gun mantlet is actually the STN ATLAS Elektronik (later Zeiss Optronik)-made Autonomous Optronic Sight Unit (AOZ 2000), an FCS upgrade kit that first appeared at the Eurosatory 2000 defense expo in June 2000.

R-4

The AOZ 2000 was later also installed on the Wiesel 1 reconnaissance vehicle (AufklFzg), and its sensor suite included the HALEM 2 laser rangefinder, OPHELIOS thermal-imager and CCD day-sight camera.

Thank you a lot for sharing these!

I did not have access to any images that let me see the addon sight, so I couldnt tell whether it was there at Eurosatory.

Though I’ll probably still report the name to be H400, especially to distinguish it from the version with the Leopard 1A5 turret (if that is to ever come), as that one was only ever called R400 (Name-change to “R400” was done in 2001 when the subdivision HENSCHEL Wehrtechnik was essentially disbanded, according to Jane’s) as that turret was fitted in 2003.
