Can you please explain however, how it’s appropriate that this is the IRIAF F-14, and not the IIAF? Since everyone seems to think the R-27 is neither an important factor for deciding the nation of the plane, nor that great of a weapon, why even include it? I’m sure the Sedjil is just going to be a lower quantity (also 2, and should take up the pylon space used by the R-27), lower quality AIM-54. Why not make it an IIAF F-14 event/premium vehicle for the US then?

I mean it’s just an F-14 with a goofy loadout. Effectiveness in-game unknown at this time. Camos can be changed accordingly so any concerns about the " nationality " of it can essentially be overwritten. Did I mention it’s a 100% USA manufactured aircraft?

The game is about lots of plane and tank shaped pixels blowing each other up with a bit of occasional recognition for those who had the bravery to get inside one back whenever,that’s all it is.
Absolutely.They fitted Chieftains out for the Shah back in the 70s a mile from where I live .Then the Revolution came and they never got delivered. It’s all about sales.Bit of history of you are interested I guess.This is nearly half a century ago now.
I’m not wetting my pants over it .If people can get over the politics and petty history it opens the game to so many great vehicles.
Still impressed with the lack of fuss. Faith restored.

Would you consider replacement parts fabricated and manufactured in Iran as “USA”?
Just curious, as it has no bearing on where this goes anyways.
I would very much prefer that all nation on the planet be treated as subtrees, so that players especially of those nations can make lineups of their own vehicles (instead of no lineups, and also fighting themselves), but that aside it’s good the devs are being internally consistent with their current design decisions.

Then it must be in technical condition at the time of good relations. With other identification marks and without R-27.

No. But they probably think so.
They can butcher it and make of it literally however they want.
Like I said above, they should’ve done a double release. IIAF and IRIAF F-14’s with respective camos and weaponry etc.
I’m hoping Smin responds to my comment about why they think it’s appropriate to give an IRIAF plane to the US, but that’s it. This issue is definitely settled, and we’ll all have to just get over it.
Because we only currently plan to introduce one. So there is no need to make it a time locked specific version.

But the F-14A could never use R-27s? They tried but couldn’t make it work. Does this mean that if the Polish modernized MiG-29A was added, it would go to the USSR and get AIM-120s?
Edit: nvm apparently it could. Still curious about that Polish MiG-29 though, but the Romanian MiG-21 LanceR C would be a better comparison as it can fire NATO guided weapons
