Get the Iranian F-14A IRIAF in the ‘Persian Tomcat’ event

Saying it’s because tensions between the two are bad now is not a valid argument. In the 1970s, they were better. For someone claiming people don’t want a history lesson, you seem to doing the same. Thankfully, it’s going to the US. You can always just not play the game anymore if it’s such an egregious decision. The CM did a fairly good job explaining why it’s going to the US.

Yet people are so resistant to the MiG-25 and Su-15 series of aircraft, the actual eastern missile busses… Curious… Maybe thats just another excuse you’re spouting…

Its not a russian plane?

Its not about if it needs. As I said before its literally just an event vehicle which are rarely about “need” or “dont need” regarding the nation. They are event vehicles afterall - just a cool unique jet, tank or ship with interesting history. Thats really all

I don’t see how that’s relevant. They had russians providing the missiles and helping with trying to fit the 27’s on the tomcat.

All it says is that the F-14A was sold to Iran prior to the Islamic Revolution when relations were good (which is a historical note and nothing else), it doesn’t say it was the sole reason it was added to the US because of that.

“The F-14 has no connection to Russia other than its R-27” - So the reason behind it was simply because it uses overwhelming more American tech than Russian tech? That’s kind of common sense 101 and what I’ve said countless of times.

Past R-27s and some avionics stuff thats about where the relation between this Tomcat and the USSR ends afaik

I was responding to your claim of “it was placed in the US TT because USSR simply didn’t need it.”, which is factually untrue.
Also this statement of yours, “it has nothing to do with their previous relations”.

Both of which are completely counter to what Smin said.

Which was the point of the question. If this tomcat was modified enough to support R-27R’s, then it is plausible for the R-72T’s to be mounted too since the missiles are the same aside from a different seeker.

Are you ok in the head?

What do you mean by India had no choice?

India joined the commonwealth under British rule

Don’t forget the Leander! https://wiki.warthunder.com/HMNZS_Leander

China probably has more connections with Iranian F-14. Saw somewhere that China helped Iran to restore the F-14s.

The USSR’s sub tree is Russia.

I will not be taking questions.

They joined Commonwealth after Independence. 15 August 1947.

Their membership was ratified in 1949, but they joined in 1945.

Anyways that has nothing to do with India being a British Sub tree. It’s Gaijin’s decision and that’s all that matters.

It literally isnt. R-27T needs seeker cooling provided by pylons and F-14A pylons arent capable of that. Not to mention Iran not having these missiles in the inventory or ever willing to integrate them to the F-14A.
