The forward speed is slower, the armour is worse the round is substantially worse.
The shir has a 5 second aced reload and only for four rounds, then its up over 6 seconds, with just an expert crew its near 7 seconds.
The T64B also has similar optics, far better armour, coverage, a .50 cal, and a lower profile. and a consistent 7.1 second reload.
Playstyle ? thats essentially irrelevant when comparing the tanks statistically speaking.
The Shir 2 can be penned frontally through the hull and one tapped by even 8.3 tanks mate.
the amx40 while has no effective armour still is reletively survivable due to the ammo and crew layout.
and its accelation is fine wdym its shit. i think out of the french MBTs at 9.3 its 2nd behind hte amx30 super.
the 32, 32(105) and even the two 8.7 amx30s are slower to gain speed.
and on the topic of this, the amx40 in test drive hits 56kmph just as you hit the bridge.
The shir 2 struggles to even get to 50kmph by the same point. The amx40 is far more mobile. and has an aced reload of 6.7 seconds with a far better round, and thermals (far worse optics though).
Hardly, The CR1 mk2 at 10.3 has L23A1 round and a far faster turret traverse rate. stat card shows the shir 2 at 25 degrees per second and CR1 mk2 at 31 aced.
second the mk3 cr1 has access to L26 ammunition, which for its BR is one of the best second only to the DM33 of the ariete.
The CR1’s at their respective BRs are better against the competition compared to the shir 2 against other 9.7s.
im not saying the tank wont be fun, but im saying its no where near as competitive as the TT counter parts from other trees.
Ive been getting about 1k-2k points a match but I cant expect that from most players, I play WT more frequently than I should but it still takes a long time
Hmmm, I’ve been hopping around 8.3-9.3 ish with the occasional 10.7 match and its been okay, my only advice I can give with ou checking how you play is avoid toptier, longer matches mean more score. Try a LT aswell, scout everything with a heartbeat.
I’ve tried a range of BRs. See if I could find one that I was better in, but my best is either 9.0/9.3 or 10.3/10.7 but in either case. I rarely come away with more than 500 score per match. More than a few games I’ll sit covering a direction for 10.minute. see no one, move slightly and guess where I will be killed from.
I just hate ground, air and naval is just better
I just grinded out yesterday’s token with the Jaguar in ASB, 2S6s are a pain to try and deal with,.but averaged 2k score before multiplier per match and the gameplay is actually fun
I don’t mind grinding, but I do mind Gaijin constantly nerfing the amount of points gained per kill, the multiplier on each gamemode etc.
A few years back you would get 1x for arcade 2x for rb and 3x for SB. That made sense.
Also, you get less points now than you did 2-3-4-5-6 years ago.
If you kill a player that is playing a vehicle that is a lower BR than yours, you get less mission score, but if you kill a player that is playing a vehicle that is higher BR than yours, you don’t get more than if he was the same BR. Logic? right?
Yeah but they got rid of those horrible factory / construction events as well.
it does also help to play at a higher BR man.
But i get the idea its a pain in the butt to see it get nerfed, i started nearly 6 years ago and tbh the events are IMO easier now than before.
thats the bit that gets me, you take out a guy a full BR step above you and its not got any extra score. thats about all thats wrong with these events now adays. the multipliers add up , if youre in GRB and 11.3 (rank 7) you absolutely milk score.
One of the biggest misconceptions in GRB is that not moving is somehow better than being aggressive. Unless you’re playing a M113A1 you want to be doing both depending on the situation. Sitting back and camping is how you lose games. Just learn engine noises and CQB fighting in general, you’ll have a lot more fun even if you lose.
Because the need to hear engine noises to be able to play just isn’t fun and CQB is just not fun.
I know I’m not an aggressive player or have the reaction times to play like that. I haven’t in years. In other gamemodes I opt for a more defensive playstyle and it works well in air and naval. But a dependency to play hulldown tanks like it’s CoD or CS is just not fun for me.
Tanks like the Challenger are just not good in a brawl
Not exactly the best thing to do is move up in stints.
Ir sections, move to a reasonable position, listen for general directions and either press the advantage.or wait for them.to push and counter attack.
Being over aggressive especially cqc wise.is a death sentenc3
Trying to come up with a singular strategy to play GRB is a fool’s errand and the best way to learn is to play.
The biggest skill anyone can ever acquire in GRB is situational awareness/adaptation.
Watch your map, listen for engines, keep your eyes peeled for enemies. Over time your eyes will get used to pinpointing movement and ID’ing tanks despite only seeing a few pixels/hearing their engine.
It’s a lot like Air RB where your success depends heavily on how you respond to your opponent and their strengths/weaknesses.
And being over aggressive is never a death sentence if you’re good ;)
Im about average, agressiveness is highly dependant on the tank, and the BR: for example a type90 can be fairly aggressive providing you dont just throw it at the enemy force directly.
where as an IS4M can literally roll towards them to a degree , and soak a serious amount of attention allowing allies to press up.
100 percent agreed.
theres many different ways to go about it but engine noises and map positions are definitely the best way to go about it.
could not agree more, like ARB, you dont try rate fight an F5E in a mig21 bis. Or try turn fight a mirage when in an F14.
or go lower BRs dont try turn fight/ rate fight a spitfire in a P51 when you can boom and zoom it.
I thought it would be that but seeing as i wasnt on to check when i sent it I just let the assumption run.
However that does not suddenly give a massive boon to the shir.
its still only 2 degrees per second faster than a T64B and i believe 1 or 1.2 faster than the amx40
EDIT: if we check it all aced its 7 seconds faster than T64B however, Its better to use the metric of an expert crew which is 25 seconds for the mk3 cr1 and 22.3 for the T64B
I’m no professional hater but this is genuinely one of the most washed camouflages for an event vehicle I’ve ever seen, you guys could’ve made a theoretical Iranian skin if it ever entered service, or anything else in fact.
Instead however, you choose to make the easiest skin to implement and that being a repeating snake pattern on a vehicle which generally speaking has little connection to a snake other than when the event was introduced - could’ve at least been a lion skin since that’s literally what shir means in Persian.
The tanks got copy paste L15A3 as L15A5.
It has L23 which after looking into it, wasnt even a round by the time this thing was dropped for development, (L23A1 that is L23 isnt a real round)
It has none of the iranian ammo that was requested and trialed for it as someone shared above, Heat-FS etc.
its UFP can also be penned by 3bm15 and even 3bm3 has went through it from a T62 for me.
Its just a stripped out CR1 mk2 at this point, NOT a real Shir 2
