Afaik only XL-2 got the upgraded engine, so XL-1 (the single seat one we’re getting) will probably only have 220.
Unless Gaijin just feels like adding 129 to it, which I wouldn’t mind.

13.3 would be survivable for it but not as fun as 13.0 and since its an event vehicles maybe it will get a pass? idk it would still have to face off the su30 premiums but that’s fine and unavoidable for it ig
well from what i heard from F16 fans it was to equipped with the same engine as the F16C if it had went into service which is why i wanna know there plan

AIM-120As.
It didn’t seem to mention the engine at all in this devblog (“increased weight”, “acceleration is less dynamic”) which makes me think that its just the regular F-16A engine.
(it it obvious idk engine names too well?)

F-16XL was more along then people give her credit for. The major point of the XL program was to bring a lot into battle. She is a fighter bomber mostly bomber type of plane. (yes she can be a fighter but more or less to do what the Phantom could do but better)

It makes sense, 16XL was the competitor to the F-15E.

That’s the big thing that makes me like this aircraft and will probably keep it, I usually run 4+2 so the -2 AIM-120s isn’t a big downside, also it is just cooler and features a more unique playstyle than the F-16A ADF. The fact it can also run 6x Mavs + 4x AIM-120s + 2x 9Ls (as seen in the devblog images) is just so cool for an F-16. My biggest gripe with F-16AJ afterall is that w/o belly sparrows, it can carry 4x 9Ls and 6x Mavericks and thats it. Being able to bring a seemingly full combat load for A2A and A2G is so nice.

Only issue being tech wise your a Early F-16 so you get that (I do not like the early F-16 mainly it was over hyped and I died a lot grinding it out) :-(
