The leopard 1A1 is 9.0
That is the Leopard 1A1A1, I am talking about the Leopard 1A1, which came before and lacked the applique turret armor and more importantly, the DM23 APFSDS. It does, however get a stabilizer meaning it can potentially sit at 8.3, just like the Panzer 68 you suggest above.

Well yeah the leopard 1a1 CAN face 8.3 but it ISNT 8.3. Did you even read my comment?
In fact Germany could have similar abundance of ground systems as RU. But they just don’t get introduced. Seems just a Bundeswehr service tree at top tier. While other nations getting stacked with Leopards, T-90, Abrams and whatnot via subtrees. US and RU regularly getting prototypes and testbeds added.
Whats needed is a treatment similar to Russia or US. A unified tree which showcases the whole nation. A German tech tree would be needed with all those upgunned testbeds, prototypes, upgrade packs, joint ventures, export versions, experimental vehicles etc. all this potential Gajin just won’t touch. If US or RUS just would have a tech tree consisting mainly of official service units of the armed forces, it would look similarly lacking.
I did. You are talking about the Leopard A1A1, otherwise known as the 1A1A1, which is already in the game. I, on the contrary, am talking about an earlier variant that is not in the game, simply known as the Leopard 1A1, that I think can be added at 8.3 with a stabilizer but lacking turret applique and APFSDS.
Oh I’m sorry lol I never realised.
I think also despite a lot of people’s complaints about copy paste and all the T-55AMZ wouldn’t be a bad addition
All good, the Leopard 1s get rather confusing at times, even more so once they got renamed a bit after the Leopard 2 entered service.
Doesn’t help that Gaijin isn’t very helpful with the naming scheme either, as even though Leopard 1A1A1 is a historical designation, it still hasn’t been changed from A1A1 for whatever odd reason.
I agree, it isn’t a huge modification but it is a domestic German one, which I thinks deserves representation.
