Hi ! This topic will talk about German biggest bombs every built and could be added but not 100% also the sources are so limited !
SC 5000 could be fake
SHL 6000 built?
SA 4000 this bomb was built and used ! Biggest bombs was made and planned ! Very limited sources ! Some claims says SC 5000 was used very limited in the He 177
how every Germany had bigger bombs that was very limited in use but mostly used by He 177 !
if you have better sources and books feel free to put them in chat !
Disclaimer: numbers could be not 100% right !
List of bombs Some of them could be build and not build !

Atom bomb? There was no focus on atom bombs from the german side. The caption seems wrong and it was probably meant, like you said, for bigger bombs excluding nukes
Probably some made up thing i believe this bomb bay was experimental for the Future Ju-287 and have nothing to do with a nuclear bomb. Note that the bomb bay was shortened too.
yeah building a plane for a nuke if not even a working reactor was build would be like buying wheels for a car despite having money only in a few years to buy one
They where never near successful even if they try thier best, iirc the problem wasn’t the budget or engineering, it was the graphite that they bought wasn’t pure enough and had boron contamination that reduced it effectiveness
There was Atom bomb development, they just gave up at some point. The Uranium was then considdered (and maybe in some amount even used) as cores for 5 cm Pzgr.40/1. Note not depleated, but normal Uranium.
I don’t know about the compatibility with the SHL 6000 and the SC 5000, but the He 177 could not be equipped with the SA 4000.
“Carriage on the He 177 is not possible due to low ground clearance. The possibility of carriage on the Do 217 is still under investigation at this time.”
