You can be never sure if your chosen nation will become or stay a META nation, because the parameters and damage mechanic can or will change. Good luck
Another consideration is that several of the smaller nations don’t really have a viable tech tree for this game. Meaning you can’t build a good set for a particular BR range because of a lack of vehicles (even after every faction gets an M 18, M 36 and M 109).

No no no no please… Germans got plenty and France was fine before they tinkered with the BRs (EBR aside) I developed the Japanese tree just to check out an M 36 with fin stabilized rounds only to have them sprinkled across almost the factions right after. I’m not a fan of homogenization.
