High pen ammo is just withheld from alot WW2 SPAAs. Others like Wirbel got their pen reduced over certain updates.
Just check the Kugel. Its BR got bumped to 7+, its penetration got reduced to mere 75mm, its turret traverse was nerfed so you couldn’t even track ground vehicles anymore. The HVAP belt was diluted that just every fourth shot is an AP one. Compare this to other SPAAs…its lol. Some nerfs were reversed like the slow turret traverse. But most were kept and here we are. Others have more pen, full AP belts and better mobilty as low tier SPAAs. Its like Gajin has a whole department that figures out “changes” for German stuff.
i genuinely dont understand how people complain about the PT-76B of all things. Apart from maybe the IKV-103 its probably one of the most balanced HEATFS vehicles in the game
I love when people forget there are more than 3 nations in this game. Even if Germany gets less additions than USA and USSR, it is still more than all the rest. Remember that Italy still has 2 top tier vehicles, one of which is a SAM, and the other isn’t even Italian
And I love even more when people act like the big 3 are supposed to be objectively better than the rest
Small nation gets overtiered, small nation players get better and adapt, big nation players complain they can no longer stomp on italians with impunity, small nation gets nerfed

If the goal is to encourage players to play other nations by intentionally weakening Germany and strengthening other nations, I don’t think this is a good long-term strategy.
For example, if Germany loses 50 loyal players but another nation gains only 5 new players, what has actually been achieved? Those German players have already invested a lot of time, effort and money into the nation they enjoy playing.
If players feel that Germany is being intentionally weakened just to push them toward other nations, some of them may switch for a while. But eventually, many of them may simply stop playing the game altogether rather than constantly switching nations.
The goal should be to make other nations more attractive by improving and developing them, not by making Germany worse. You shouldn’t have to weaken one nation to make another one enjoyable.
A healthy game should give players a reason to try other nations while still respecting the players who have invested years into their main nation.
I mean tiger 2’s used to go faster… then they nerfed them while not even adressing the lack of historical weakspot on US heavies. Hard to fight people with trolly mantlets who can pen your flat turret face with 150mm weakspot at half a kilometer away while you have to pray that their bullshit mantlet won’t eat your weakspot shot

And in the next update, if they add the Leopard 2A7A1, I’ll keep waiting, because it won’t be on par with the Greek Leopard 2A6HEL, which was added in the same update. Like no real attack chopper since forever. Weak air force, weak air to ground. In an ingame context Germany lacks good CAS ordnance over all tiers. Lack of speedy ground vehicles mid tier. Only few (one) top tier worthy tank. etc.
Other nations got subtrees added to improve lineups and to add important things they lack domestically. Germany? No, Sir. Except premiums and shop vehicles. Alone last patch germany got more prem and shop additions than reagular TT vehicles.

Ah, France, infamously lacking a Leopard 1A5 counterpart, F-16 counterparts, early 50s/60s jets and low tier prop planes. BeNeLux has done so much good there, huh?
Germany is the only major nation that has a subtree (Swiss air) and has the most copy and paste (American, Russian, Italian, British, and French planes) from a major nation
The issue here isn’t necessarily Germany having bad vehicles, in fact, they have a lot of really strong and powerful lineups (6.7, 9.3, 13.0).
The main reason why German winrates are so bad is literally the playerbase.
I mean, they legit have the best 6.7 lineup iirc yet the worst winrate at the same time

At 13.0 they also have one of the best lineups you can get (AESA Euro with HOSBO, IRIS-T, 2A7) yet they still suck.

at 13.0 tho italy is equal basically due to them having a 2A7 and SAMP-T which is just as good as the IRIST due to its speed and they also have eurofighters
also the US now with SEP V3 and TROPHY is also a close contender but there SPAA is lacking still with new GBU-53 there very good they get a pretty good amount meaning they can spam it faster than most SPAA can shoot it down
