Ok, it’s exactly THAT kind of weird unexpected thing why I posted such an open question.
Is there a reported issue somewhere that it’s missing we can vote on? Something on the bug report page?
Its a Cluster Bomb type system which currently isnt in game, but plenty of people keep poking gaijin about it as CBUs would be a potent anti-tank weapon for many aircraft.
MW-1 and JP233 would be really unique weapon systems for the Tornados
CBUs are the prefered Anti-tank weapon for Tornados, at least the Gr1s

No, other than asking for it whenever the Tornado is mentioned on the forums :D
But its taken nearly 2 years of annoying the devs to fix the Flight model on the Tornado. So could take even longer to get CBUs

Tornado in Godvana’s vid literally has the skin of the premium one. I just picked it up on 60% discount.
It’s such pain in air to air (sim) but I knew this and thats why I got it.
No IFF but the RWR rework tells you if it’s an enemy from the sidelobes at any aspect where you can AIM-9L them.
Don’t ask me why but flying painful aircraft is sometimes more fun. Dunno why. Just feels more real somehow. Some cluster munitions would make me love it more.
Hey, I spend quite a bit of my time in the Tornado Gr1 in Sim. Its great fun and thats at a higher BR and doesnt enjoy the Premium economy of the WTD61.
So I know the feeling. Its boring to play the “meta” aircraft that just steamrolls with ease. Why i’ve barely touched the Gripen and im often far more happy in the Tornado F3 instead (though the 12.0 one, cant bring myself to play the 13.3 one yet) because its a much harder aircraft to use. If there is no challenge, then there is no fun.
You can also have quite a bit of fun in the Tornado In Sim using CCRP (A guide for that here: A guide to: CCRP) as you can throw your bombs at bases or targets like the airfields.
But yeah, HARM missiles like AGM-88 or ALARM and their associated objectives would be great fun. CBUs, especially if we got the runway denial variants like JP233 would be amazing to play with. Even just better/more interesting bases to drop regular old bombs on would be awesome fun in Sim for the Tornado.
But at the moment… Im just hoping the Tornado IDSs (all of them) get the Hinderburg fuel tanks that are found only on the F3 Late at the moment. They have 495 gal of fuel instead of 330 gal of fuel that the standard tanks have.

Any idea which Tornado’s could carry HARM’s? They were seen in a JH-17 load out yesterday!
I’m quite familiar with CCRP, used it a lot on the Milan and A6.

As far as I am aware all of them but which will get them in game is tricky. Definetly the ASSTA1, Gr1 and A200A The others we’ll have to wait and see. AGM-88 is what Germany used and ALARM is what Britian used

Ah… Definetly more evidence of them being actively worked on. Maybe we’ll see them sooner rather than later

I’ll take HARM’s over cluster munitions.
Loadouts are always a balancing thing and so it might not get it if they think it would increase its Ground BR and they were deadset on leaving it at its current BR.
I personally think it should get them, because they’ll be a niche weapon. But only time will tell

Yeah, thats my main hope for them as well. Some proper SEAD missions
speaking of which, just got word AV8B NA lost some gps bombs…
Was gonna hover at 15k ft and drop them on airfield AAA
