this boat is at 3.0 but has the same gun as the italien Baleno which is at 3.3. But the Baleno has 4 torpedos and can launch a artillery strike, so at least the Schütze should get the artillery modification.

Probably because they have different assigned roles. Iirc not all boats classes have access to artillery strikes. As for why it’s still placed at 3.0, idk, though it’s probably ok for that since it’s a wooden boat.

as artillery is simple no “real thing” but mostly a balancing item the Schütze should get it. As mentioned its a wooden boat, the baleno has a steel hull. From my pov the torpedoes should make the difference +0.3BR
In NAB maybe, in NRB no, though these torpedoes are 450 mm
In my books this thing is totally over br-ed. No AP, no secondary weapons, no armour, no arty, drives slopy, just one gun and that overheats quickly espacially when you have to shot a the big steele ships with your useless HE rounds.

100% agreed. Schutze should have it so they can at least fight back against the Amiens spam.
The coastal balance is a complete mess.

I personally believe it might be down to either due to the main armament which is rather oppressive at BR 3.0 against similar size or smaller motor boats (similar with the Volksmarine minesweeper Bernau afterwards) as it’s an artificial nerf to greatness or could be down to being the classification as subchaser which is a bloody dumb role given the lack of ASW equipment (can be seen with most other subchasers as well) & we used to gave the minesweeper tag years ago.
