Italy has pretty much always had better CAS than Germany past WW2 (their helicopters are as of now, also better). Sweden shared Germany’s struggles (2xAGM-65A/B, barely any difference) until the Gripen C, right now they’re better off on both the ground & air.
Then against, what does this what’aboutism have to do with Germany? Because X nation didn’t have Y or still doesn’t, Germany shouldn’t either? Didn’t stop US from getting the F-16C or Russia from the Su-25SM3.
Doesn’t that kinda mean germany had viable CAS before they did?
Tornado was viable for a whole (i.e since its addition until the later) patch before it was made redunant by the Pantsir.
Again, wasn’t really a full critique it was more pointing out sort of fact that this wasn’t exclusive to germany. Though with the EFT and possible swiss addition(maybe) we should see the cas problem change. Didn’t see japan mentioned lol
This shouldn’t even be brought up since pretty much every person on this forum is aware that unless you’re US or Russia, you’ll be left to grind the dust in terms of CAS (Germany), or tanks (Italy until this patch), or jets (Sweden), or all (China?).
Eh not entirely, russia is the only one that got their jets first more than the US iirc. Mig 23 and mig 29 are the most recent ones that come to mind. I guess maybe you could say the F4’s were exclusive since germany didn’t get theirs when they needed them. Oh and su22 and maybe some of the mig 21’s
It doesn’t matter how good the leopards are, they will still get slammed by CAS. Good tanks are nothing without good support. I thought this was simple warfare tactics?
I don’t think it would do a great job as CAS aircraft tbh. At 9.0 and below we’ve the AJ A for that, above that there’s already guided weapons. AFAIK the German “Harrier” was never equipped with any sort of guided weapons, and even its bombload would be quite limited.
Just ignore that sad excuse of a person honestly. He’s here to troll (and he’s been doing a poor job at that, seeing as everyone here is aware of his “goals”).
